Sold 2 tickets 3wks ago. Refunded price..buyer wants me to purc him tickets

What a debacle after selling many many items. A buyer purchased tickets to Future Music Festival in Syd. He lives in Melb. I live on Gold Coast.

Somehow I posted him Bne tickets ( concert in Bne on on this Sat 2/ March) - I really don't know how I did. Don't even know that I did. This was on the 15 Feb.

Last night he send me a message saying he only just opened them and they are for Brisbane. I said I would refund his money - which I did immediately through Paypal and met his request of an extra 20 towards the extra cost of 40 for more tickets.

I asked him to express post the tickets back immediately today so I egt them by Fri and can hopefuly sell them for the Brisbane concert on this Saturday.

Problem is Syd concert is nearly a sell out now and tickets are becoming more expensive. he has sent a number of threatening texts saying it is my duty to buy him Syd tickets as that is what he purchased from me. I sort of said that if he had of checked the tickets when he first recived them two weeks ago this would not be an issue now.

I have said if he sends the tickets express...I will directly deopsit extra moeny in his account to cover the express postage and $20 extra towards the new tickets as he initially asked me to meet him halfway. 

He is also doubting I have revered his Paypal transaction and is considering not returning Bris tickets to me.

Any advice of feedback from more expereinced sellers would be appreicated.

If he bought an expensive vase and in broke it transit...I woud refund the cost...but it would not be my resposiblity to find him an equally priced cheap vase.

BTW Have sent him copy of Paypal reversal.

He also left feedback on the 19th of Feb stating all good, great communication.

The paypal payment was probably funded with a credit card so the refund will go back to the card which will take a few days.

As for feedback....you can only leave positive feedback for a buyer so I would not leave any.

If you bought Syd tickets how did you have Bris tickets to send, where did these come from?

You stuffed up.............big time!

You can't be forced to get them tickets or pay them anything extra but I don't blame them for not taking your word for it that you will pay for the return of the Brisbane tickets.

If you had sent them an express letter ready addressed to you by express post then you could have had the tickets back within 2 days and could have told them you would refund when you got them back.

Yes, I have apparently stuffed up - I am not disputing that fact.

He has had the tickets for 12 days. He has only contacted me last night. He also buys and sells a number of tickets. I was sure I sent him Sydney ones.

I reversed his Paypal transaction immediately. I will put money n his account immediately - we have had a number of comunication sbut in the latest ones after asking me to contribute toawrds the more expensive costs of new tickets and asking for $20 - he is saying I should buy the tickets for him.

There are plenty of tickets on Ebay and Paypal that are still quite cheap.

I would happily have sent one but if I do not get the brisbane ones back by noon tomorrow they will be useless.

By the same token how do I know he won't sell the Bris ticket and not send them back it could be argued.

If you sent Brisbane tickets instead of Sydney tickets - then one would assume you would still have the Sydney tickets you thought you had sent ?? Or am I reading this wrong? Did you list them incorrectly right from the start? It is pickle

No the promoter sent me a group of tickets. I thought they had sent tme the wrong tickets so I sold what I thought I had.

I was positive I put Syd tickets in his envelope. Absolutley 100 per cent positive.

I had 15 sets to sell. Not one error.

Cannot for the life of myself work out what happened.

I think the buyer is being a little unreasonable. After all, sellers only know a transaction is ok, usually when they buyer leaves feedback saying as such, or communicates with them very soon after delivery.

After 12 days, I personally would have assumed all was ok. They do say, no news is good news.

I understand him not believing you about returning the tickets, but expecting you to purchase him new ones or "meet you half way" is ridiculous IMO.

As Greencat said, don't you have the Sydney tickets in your possession to send to him?
