Hi all,
Yesterday received an item, returned to sender. It took me awhile to locate the relevant transaction, as I was not going back far enough in ebay or AP.
Turned out the item was sold and shipped to a parcel pickup point on the 19th of June and was delivered to the pickup point, but never collected and subsequently returned as unable to be delivered.
Have never heard from the buyer, but thought I would contact them to see what they want done, IE repost, or
refund minus fees and postage which was a bit over $50. Anyway when I try to contact with reference to the transaction or item number, there is no option to proceed with a message and if I try to contact not in relation to an item, I am confronted with what appears to be a message to the buyer from AP, all to strange late at night, and I am dubious about contacting (not in relation to item) and then crossing swords with ebay when item transaction details are raised.
I know I can sit back and do nothing, but I would prefer to get the item to them or arrange suitable partial refund.
Any ideas.

Personally I would do nothing.
But you do have the option of texting them through their phone number. The buyer's phone number is supplied to you with postage details.

Unfortunately apart from the buyers ebay name, the order details no longer includes the shipping address etc, even checked the original shipping label but no phone number included, so don't know how they were supposed to be advised when item was available for collection.

Are they on Facebook?

Anything could have happened, so sit tight until/if they ever contact you.
It happened to me once, parcel was never picked up from post office, so RTS…..so I rang the buyer and was chastened for interrupting their swatting for exams; was told to just keep it!!!

It might be a timeframe thing.
I have looked at orders from September and the buyer's phone number is clearly displayed.
And shipping address is not displayed only if the buyer selects pickup.

I think your right there dave, can get full contact details for items back to early September, but earlier orders only show ebay user names.
I tried to contact again using (not related to an item) but it just displays a message from AP to the buyer, which is wierd, as it does not relate to my transaction, but instead relates to an item delivered via safe drop.
I think I will just have to wait and see what happens.

Not helpful for your situation but confirmed my careful keeping of buyer details until feedback received or 60 days has past. (I always copy details onto sticky note on screen).
This obsession of mine has only been useful once so far - that was re failure to pick up a paid item - so I was able to ring the buyer and sort it out with them.
