Re: Supicious Address

Yes I saw that, hence my first reply (which after I posted, OP opened another, identical post, again including the address)

But there was no mention in either of their first posts of them having already Googled the address and it being linked to possible scams, nor that they had contacted the 'buyer' and been given with a different name than what had been used to 'buy'

And no mention of the buyer saying they are  needing the card sent in a hurry etc etc

Nothing that said 'this 100% screams scam, cancel and block on the spot

Still looks very Suspicious to me looks like an old abandoned Warehouse and there's plenty of posts about That address being a Scam when you Include Ebay in the Google Search. Wouls show photos but it won't let me add to my comment

You can add photos to a post by clicking on the icon at the top of the box you are writing in, that has the little mountain in it. 9th from the left. The image must be saved on your computer or device. Never post photos that contain addresses or any identifying details of a buyer, as the mods will remove it.

As you are subject to the 21 day funds hold for being a new seller, I'm pretty sure you need to allow the cancellation process to happen. Either way, you need to cancel officially to get your fees back, otherwise you will get a nasty bill next month from eBay! Don't just refund, even if you are able to.

Hopefully someone else will be along soon to clarify for sure. It's been a long time since I had to cancel.

Re: Supicious Address

Additionally, if you don't wish to sell to certain eBay members, you can block bidders or buyers from your listings by entering their username. That member won’t be able to buy or bid on your listings.

Re: Supicious Address

Add their username here......... https://www.ebay.com.au/bmgt/BuyerBlock? You can also add any other usernames of problem buyers in the future, or ones that don't feel right. If they change their username, it automatically changes it on your blocked buyer list (BBL).

A cancellation usually takes around 10 days. If the refund hasn't gone through by then, you should be able to close the cancellation. If it still doesn't go through, then you may have to manually do it through PayPal.

Re: Supicious Address

If you decide to resist, I would change your post to "Australia Only"  or if you really want to sell overseas, be sure to add insurance, tracking (vist auspost.com.au to find out costs) etc to the postage costs. Also change your handling time to allow for longer delivery, especially with Covid overseas at the moment.  A lot of sellers have been the target of item not received disputes, because delivery to o/s is taking a lot longer.
