I get that they're trying to imitate that other site, but they've done it in the worst possible way. I went to the trouble of making categories for my store so that people could easily find my items, but now these are buried in a drop-down box (with only the first category visible), there seems to be no way to sort items from the initial store page as before (please correct me if I'm wrong), my store description, which contains important information about updates, etc has been shoved over to the right-hand side, and all of my images look like they were cropped by the 3 year old next door and have a not-at-all-appealing grey tint.
Quite obviously, the people on the eBay ad are ACTUALLY the people who designed it, except that in addition to noise-cancelling headphones they are also wearing eye masks and cannot see how hideous and terrible it is.

Are anyone else's store page items in any kind of actual order?
I cannot work out how they've sorted the items that are actually on my store page - there is zero logic. They're not sorted by price, postage cost, category, most recently sold, most recently listed or most views, so what else is there? There's like 2 rows of my cheapest items (not ideal ...) followed by a confusing conglomeration of items of various categories and prices.
I can't believe they haven't fixed this hot mess yet.

Best match, it seems - a mix of recently sold, best selling and whatever else meets their algorithmic desires (this does seem to often be the lower priced items). If you go to the "see all" page and change the sort order to best match, the order will be the same (or, it is with mine).

Suddenly, I have zero categories showing, have to scroll to the bottom on the page and select "See All"
Only problem is, customers do not know that.
My store has threads and fabrics, over a hundred of each, can no longer be easily searched by "colour", they just all show up in zero order.
How stupid is this. My sales have plummeted since this has happened.
Have never been to a site anywhere that you cannot sort by sub-categories, wonder how they came up with this non idea

I don't see a problem with your store.
It looks like every other store - it has a drop down menu for categories, and if your customers are looking for a certain colour, then they can use the search box.
It all works for me
