Using ebay store categories

I have just setup an ebay store but when listing my items it wont show or give option for my store categories,

edit item does not show the categories either. They all get listed as other items.

have a look at your categories again

manage store >  

	Manage Store Categories

	Use Store categories - opens in a new window or tab to organize your listings. Category names appear in the left-hand navigation bar of your Store. Review the Store category guidelines - opens in a new window or tab for tips on creating effective Store categories.

just in case your categories were not saved correctly.

thanks but no luck, I have tried deleting and re-adding the categories but nothing. I simply cannot find how to categorise the items either during the listing process or using the edit option.

You can use the Bulk Editor to move your items into store categories once they've been set up.

In your Active Listings select All or select specific listings and click Edit

Once Bulk Edit opens select the listings again

From the drop down menu Edit Fields select Categories

You can opt to add/edit eBay Categories and/or Store Categories

Then save

When creating a new listing the eBay Category and Store Categories options are at the very top of the Sell Your Item page.

Hi, When listing the first choice is Category. Under that are two boxes marked Store Categories with drop down arrows. Drop the arrow & choose which of your categories you want to place the item. As there are 2 it can be a group + then another category. I use my first as Coin Pendants. The second is something like Europe 1900 - 1930 or similar. Kind of narrows down a buyer's search.

I get the ebay category option but not the store category option at top of page.

Are your categories showing correctly in Manage Store?

Yes I can see the categories in the store backend, just dont appear during listing or editing
