Hi all, how can I do to get Ebay to review and remove negative feedback a buyer has left for me. I sold them a COVER for a door draft stopper and they were expecting a cover and snake. The title clearly states the item is a cover and the item description says many times that the item is a cover only and buyer will have to purchase your own snake. No discussion was even attempted just neg. feedback left from a buyer with a 0 feedback rating. I requested a revision of feedback left by the buyer but they have formally declined stating the original feedback was correct. What can I do now? They also stated the item was overpriced and they thought it unbelievable they would have to fill the cover themselves. Obviously they chose to purchase the item at the cost it was. No questions were ever asked before purchase and the description is clear that the listing is for a cover only. Im so angry.........
"I was expecting a filled snake. Definitely overpriced for what it is! Buyer: chingchongchuk ( 1 ) 16-Apr-13 16:47Follow-up by chingchongchuk (16-Apr-13 16:51):It is ridiculous that I have to buy...

"But I am glad the OP posted because what has come out is some info on how better to word titles and descriptions. I know I will be rethinking some of my own when I get back into selling. Putting the most important info near the front of title or near the top of description."
Thank you for that comment. I agree that this experience has left me a little smarter and wiser. Also the issue of smart phones and listing titles was interesting to know. I guess we can all benefit from a good brain storming to fine tune our listings.
Negative feedback removed at last. Thanks all.

great result > the boards working as they should > member asking for advice > a wide range of views being given > others taking comments onboard > OP keeping us updated > OP listening and not taking agressive stance > OP getting a good result. The boards at their best in my opinion.

Arr the protected seller spieces gets there way again.
Feedback should never have been removed it was the buyers right as it was your mistake they did nothing wrong you did.
Your just lucky that the buyer is new and wont check on it, as I would ring ebay and demand they put it back because as a buyer its my privilage to leave it if i feel so for what ever reason.
Ebay just proved once again that FEEDBACK is just a load of hogwash. The buyer was not happy his right to complain was just stolen from them.
Why bother having it when its all nicely sugur coated and has a heap of hidden truths.
Just proved again that ebay havent got a clue and bow to anyone who kick up a fuss.
What an absolute joke and disgrace you are ebay , What if the buyer just put neg and said (Not Happy) and nothing else it would still be there but because they tell the truth you rip them off. Good on ya ebay you just proved what im on about all over again.
Shonky shambles ebay. You just stole the buyers right to complain. LOL what a joke.

Sorry, but this is just plain wrong. The buyer did not read the description where it clearly stated that the listing was for a cover only. That's all, buyer got it wrong and buyer left inappropriate feedback that was removed.
if eBay was going to protect sellers they would not allow negatives for sellers!

As someone who doesn't use a smart phone, can I ask what the issues might be - do titles and descriptions not appear properly on those smart phones/devices? Or is it carelessness on the part of the browser?
This thread has made me start to think...
I have taken the liberty of using one of your listings and then taken screen shots on a iPod to show everyone what listings look like on a mobile device using the app.
This is the first view I get after clicking through to a listing.
And this is after scrolling down a little (as you can see, there is no description visible, you have to click through to view it - a format which encourages purchase without reading descriptions, considering the prominence of the Buy It Now button).

I received my first negative feedback to. The buyer bought the wrong item and didn't even contact me until after leaving negative feedback. It clearly stated the edition I was selling plus the image I uploaded. Can I get the negative removed? Ty.
