How:
See the end of sellers creating Product Titles that are Ambiguous (Double Meanings so as they can be interpenetrated or read as similar different products).
Also for sellers to stop listing products in Categories that are not meant for that product type.
Why:
People don't want to waste time double checking everything little thing because of tricky sellers trying to make a quick $$$$s and ruining eBay's reputation.
People don't want to end up with the wrong Product.
People want to be confident on eBay and spend big amounts and not get ripped of.

Apart from being "interpenetrated"๐ I agree with you.
You have to remember that sellers only require a pulse & an internet connection... however the vast majority are very diligent when it comes to listing items.

eBay do not read here
Buyers will not get ripped off if they do their basic due diligence and use the numerous tools provided by eBay to get their money back if things do go pear shaped
Buyers do not need to 'check every little thing'
If reading the item description and checking seller's feedback is too much of a chore ,well, buying online from any site is clearly not for them
It's nice you assume all buyers are too lazy to do such basic steps
Are the same buyers going to go into a B&M store and make a big purchase without asking sales staff basic questions etc?
Perhaps you could add advice on how sellers can avoid scammer buyers too?
No?

Do Sellers have to pay more for extra Category listings. If extras were free it would be like free adverting, I would do it.

Yes, it is an extra cost.

Oh! if only extras were free..... Toto I don't think we're in Kansas anymore.

We can all improve our experience, just read the Feedback, read the advert, look at the pictures.
If as you say they sound bad, don't buy.
To many people come here complaining about a bad experience, but they buy from low feedback sellers, or totally non descript descriptions. The buyer needs to take some responsibility, if they stop buying from the bad sellers, the bad sellers will be out of business.
Some buyers seem to love the bad feedback sellers, their own problem, not ours

Hey, just trying to help Sellers sell more and make more $$$$$s. Boss put me in the right direction when I was just not selling enough and then I made heaps of sales.
Why and How, just knowing the product I sell, only selling quality or value for money, tested a few of product and make sure they worked and were functional, got somebody else to read my ad's copy and they understood it.
My personal buying rules on eBay are only buying up to AUD $20.00 because I can live with being ripped off for that amount. Only look at 99.6% Sellers and above. Check the Description, photos against the Product title. Don't search or rely products being in the right Category at all, because Sellers don't put them in right category and I find fewer or don't find any of what I want.
Important.
In Google Search Listings, you get a low or no listing if you don't put ad in right category for product.
I get a kick and laugh out of new deception tricks I find in ads. Started to make a list the sellers but gave up because they keep on changing there names of cause.
A big thanks for the income from work and sales my friends and I are getting in the shed fixing eBay products to make them workable. Also rewording to English and enlarging user manuals. Pays for the weekly Friday BBQ and Beer

I don't think I will bother to take advice from someone who does not even know that ebay extras are not free.
You also don't seem to understand that ebay does not make or sell anything, so how you can be fixing ebay products is beyond me.
I somehow think you are full of it.

I am also wondering why they are happy to allow themselves to be 'ripped off' anything under $20 when it is almost impossible for a buyer to be 'ripped off'
Any new/inexperienced buyers reading this, you do have tools, many of them, to avoid being 'ripped off'
So read up on the policies and use them, and use them within the limit times
So what if the sellers keep changing their names? The exact same feedback remains regardless of what the change their name to or how many times they do change (allowable under eBay rules, by the way)
