What Australian ombudsman do I contact to file a complaint against ebay?

I have beeen trying to sort an issue with ebay out for a while now. In a nutshell ebay has been the most evasive and unhelpful organisation I have ever dealt with.

Is there an ombudsman that can help with this issue? I am based in Australia.

The worst organisation ever. First I sell watch to buyer who would not respond to reminders to pay then he has to accept a cancellation over ten days. Then eBay sends me a bill for $98 for an item I haven't been paid for? Can't contact any real person at eBay. Not to mention the scammers on this site. Buyers have all the rights not the seller's.

You will get your funds refunded when the cancellation case closes. You should have opened a non-paying buyer case. It's quicker, but allows the buyer to pay in the interim.

I fail to see what this has to do with an ombudsman - the terms are clearly listed in the T&Cs which you have said you have read.

I bought a $1500 Prada bag that claimed to be 100%authentic or triple your money back! Seller had 100% feedback. When I received bag low and behold it was fake! Took to Prada for verification and it was indeed a fake. Their policy is they are unable to verify anything in writing unless receipt is produced. They did show me everything that was wrong with the bag and provided a written card that I attended the store. eBay requested seller refund but he wouldn’t so they had to do refund. I left negative feedback. Few days later when I checked it was still there only to find that it had been removed. He had contacted eBay Germany and asked them to remove it and they didn’t bother to check notes just removed it. After 1.5hours on phone to Ebay they tell me that they can’t put my feedback back on! Explained that they are deceiving their buyers by removing it and they couldn’t give two hoots! Fraudulent activity by them but who will hold them accountable! SO ANGRY!!!!!

As I asked last month - what has this to do with an ombudsman? You have no material loss, and no Australian ombudsman has jurisdiction in Germany.

Now ebay control the shipping the cost has gone though the roof from over seas 

and another thing how comes we are paying GST on second hand goods which is breaking the law

*sigh*  Here we go again.

Second hand goods have always been subject to GST if the seller is registered for GST....nothing new there at all.  Surely you don't believe that second hand shops are the only shops not paying GST.

All low value imports are subject to GST no matter whether the goods are new or used.

Ebay does not control postage from overseas.....sellers do not have to use the GSP if they don't want to but most of them find it convenient for them.....too bad if it is expensive for the buyer.
