Can anyone tell me what really happens to buyer who does not pay?
And is there anyway to banned these people from bidding on your items? I've had 34 non payers so far and its becoming beyond a joke.

Thanks for the tip however, I want to block buyers (with a history of non payment) before they bid, not after.

I think you are right and I bet they don't give back the free listing that's been wasted either.

It wouldn't surprise me.

You can block a bidder with 2 strikes from bidding when you are listing an item. I think there's a drop down link for it in " My ebay " as well.

Go to My eBay > click account tab > on the left select "Site Preferences" > Buyer Requirements > click SHOW and then EDIT> select all the blocks possible, but especially to block people who have unpaid strikes

I have written to eBay so that they will apply an automatic negative rating so that the non-payer's feedback shows a true and reasonable representation of their activity on eBay. So far I have had no reply, not even a courtesy acknowledgement. This is why people get really angry with eBay.

A friend of mine her better is a real idiot had 26 strikes against him ebay let it go to over 50 before he was deregistered .All he done was open up a new id and off he went again this time he is selling .I have no idea what makes them do it .
No longer friends with them over his actions

You can put blocks in place to reduce the number of non payers trying to buy off you. I am not sure what action ebay eventually takes against habitual non payers. This issue doesn't impact them so they are probably not too concerned about it. The sellers bear the cost of relisting (if applicable) and lose out on a potential sale to another person while waiting for the unpaid item process to take its time. Ebay merely refund the FVF.
At the end of the day the unpaid item process and blocks are ineffective. Even if ebay deregister the buyer they merely open up a new account and start all over again. Take a look at your non payers if you have blocks in place and you will find a lot of them have low or zero feedback.

Did you know if you get a non paying strike you can appeal it and if you don't have another eBay will say "Oh, ok, no worries, we'll reverse the strike".
So nothing happens.
Non paying bidder strikes are useless when people can appeal them and get the removed.
