Hello Members....;)
Just as the title suggests, I would love to hear from other members in relation to their own personal goals or benchmarks that they may have in place right here on Ebay. Personal sellers, or Store holders do you set your self targets Monthly, maybe you have goals to establish a great service quality.
Personally, Our store started last Jan and from Jan 1st through to Dec 31st we just missed $50,000 in sales by a tiny $17.00. it was our first 12 month cycle and we were fairly happy with the results especially since we were still learning.
This Next 12 month cycle we hope to break $75,000 in sales for the same time period.
We also have wishes to keep our track record in feedback at a very high standard, not for the numbers game but so it can be a reflection to our customer service overall.
Look forward to hearing from some of our members.

I think it is a fair enough question and while the OP may have been showboating in some peoples eyes it is something I am often curious about.
Me personally I started selling to get rid of excess items I had around the house especially 3 book shelves full of books I no longer read. Now I sell just to supplement the income I receive from my regular job. No true goals other than to earn a little extra.

My Ebay goals are to make enough money to pay off all my debts each month. So far, touch wood, after trading on ebay for the past 3 years I have been able to do this.
I have no set plan or goal, it just happens. When I'm asked how much I make, my honest reply is "I have no idea" It's enough.
Not a good business plan but it works fine for me:-)

Same, have mainly sold on eBay to get rid of stuff around the house, but have also bought items at op-shops/garage sales and resold, sometimes doing them up a little in between, or just on-selling as is.
Because of the ridiculous Aussie Post prices, just gone up AGAIN too, I will be stopping my selling for a while, perhaps only focusing on furniture items that are pick up only.
So, goal is to either sell less or to sell cleverly to avoid excess fees!

I have been addicted to eBay for many years and a couple of months ago I thought of having some fun by selling.
I short term goal is to make enough to pay for eBay fees and credit card interest 😛
Having some fun by pick & pack every night and earn $100 each month is enough for me.
My long term ...I don't know. I don't see eBay is a place you can make enough money to quit your full time job.
If you want to earn $70k annually, each day you have to earn $200-250. To earn that much your daily capital needs to be around $1,000 (25% profit afer all fees is a pretty good eBay business). You would need to make 20 - 25 sales per day, and spend a lot of time to respond to inquiries. You also need to order and check your stock weekly..etc ...just too much of work. You can't rely on it for a living.

Hi sheep,
none of us here have any goals or ambitions as far as Ebay selling is concerned, but Ebay (selling and buying) is priceless as a constant source of entertainment!
Definitelly totally different fron any other web site known to man - and infinitelly more fun!
Where else do you get to hear that we should all be deported "to where we came from" - even though we are all Australians, because someone bought a blouse that is "so sheer, you can see everyyyythiiiiing!!!!"
Have fun everyone,
regards, JHS

I became a real live Ebay seller only yesterday, but I'm not planning on making serious Ebay selling any part of my life in the future.
I'll just stick only the one item at a time in as and when I feel like it just to see if they sell, but when I'll be making $1400 a pop clear profit from the thing I'll be selling every time I don't need to think seriously about long term goals, and at my age who cares about such things anyway!
I had over 35 years of serious business before taking early retirement and have no wish to head back into that craziness again now.
I treat all my selling as a lucrative hobby to keep the old grey matter turning over while giving me a reason to get out of bed in the mornings.
The sideline bonus to it all is that I get to spend a few weeks every year traveling around China, Thailand and Vietman on buying trips and the Aussie taxman accepts it all as legit business expenses. God bless his li'l cotton socks lol.

I have just built up over the last 4 months to an average 35-40 sales per week. Over the next six months I would like to lift my current listings by 150-200 per month and see weekly sales lift to 70-80 per week 🙂

Dear Greencat
Thank you for your application
Your awesomeness is most impressive, indeed dazzling B-)
However at this time I am only taking on family members that work hard for love alone.
Wishing you well in all that you do.
The Cats PJs (aka Pyjamas)
WTF - how more family do you want - I'm a cat - you're a cat?
Is this a jealousy thing, coz, you know I don't really wanna brag but I am way better looking than you, but MAN, I can sell, really, give me a go.
Don't make me beg man

Are you talking about $70k profit or total sales?
You don't need to do all that if just for $70k in total sales.
As for my goals....I've already quit my full time job last year. Doing part time to keep me busy. I couldn't do ebay full time - I'll get too bored staying at home all the time.
Now just need to pay off my loans.
