What happened to 40 free listings???

So i've been away from Ebay for a while but just tried to list an item & Ebay want to charge me nearly $4.00 to list one item!! **bleep**?! I haven't listed anything for months & according to what i see on 'my ebay' page i'm entitled to 40 free listings so don't understand why they want a listing fee... Is this a glitch or are Ebay now charging for every listing?? Might be better off trying to sell elsewhere coz no way am i paying such a high listing fee + final value fees. Need the money but not desperately enough to pay such high fees!!

Yes, a 'glitch' many many people are getting

It started for me last Saturday, I spoke to them and was told at first it was 'just me' and there was no issue

Spoke to a different person on the Sunday and was told there was an issue they had only been notified about that morning (I told them not true, I reported it the day before)

Anyway, many different stories given by ebay

There's a few threads with different advice, I'll try to help you find

Basically, ebay being ebay

Thankyou... I've just been in a chat with Ebay & have been assured any fees will be credited IMMEDIATELY. Could be an issue for Ebay if they don't honor it ๐Ÿ˜‰

Re: What happened to 40 free listings???

After 8 unsuccessful attempts via live chat to get an estimate of how long it will take tech to fix the 40 free listings being charged $1.65 listing fees problem, and receiving only platitudinous relies ("tech is working on the problem:, "please be patient" "apologise for inconvenience"), I have finally on the 9th live chat been told that it will take SEVERAL WEEKS to fix the issue.

I, like other posters do NOT trust their assurance that I can list, be charged $1.65 per listing or relisting, and then try to ask for a refund before the monthly invoice is generated (not possible after the monthly invoice is sent, apparently).

If you have a device with the app, create your listings on your computer but send them to drafts, dont send them live. Go to drafts in the app and send them live from there. You shouldn't get charged a listing fee. I know it's a pain to do it that way, but it's a work around until they fix the glitch.
