What means "delayed" in AP tracking

I sold item 24thNovember, posted 25th to small place past Nhill and the buyer is not happy because it is not delivered as yet.  The problem is that the tracking said estimated delivery Tuesday 26th!!!!! from Melbourne.  And now it says "delayed".  does it mean it is lost?

Just to add, about the same time that image was being circulated,  another image depicting lights in an unexpected area was also released, this time the lights were situated at sea, from memory off the coast of Bangladesh.  On this occasion the waters were apparently that full of fishing boats as to light up the ocean.  again a multi layered/amalgamated image, that bore no resemblance to reality.
