What more can you do to encourage buyers to make contact prior to leaving feedback?

Gah! Frustrated beyond belief.

What more can you do?

This is what is on the back of our business card, which goes inside EVERY parcel we mail, however big or small.

Any suggestions?

Nice one, Helen.

Now I can read your posts without binoculars.

Sorry Stawka,

Do you sit a long way away.

Please come closer, my dear.

Have to go for a short while.

I always watch that terrible 'Hot Seat' at 5.30 - unless the worser cricket is playing.

I watch each week day just to check I don't have dementia or worser.

I include a note in my invoices. Something along the lines of "item will be posted within 3 business days of cleared payment (often same or next day depending on my work). Please allow X weeks for delivery as Aust Post can be slow at times. If there are any issues whatsoever, please don't hesitate to contact me prior to leaving feedback. Thanks for buying!".

So far, the couple of small issues I have had, they have contacted me prior to leaving feedback. The end result is, I get positive feedback (except for one who chose not to leave any at all, which suited me just fine as I was expecting a neg).

That accursed star-dinger comic!

Sorry to those guys that like it, but I find it to be a horrible attempt at manipulating buyers with a guilt trip (the dripping blood is a particularly "bleh" touch, IMO) - as such, I would resent its inclusion in a listing and/or in a package.

My philosophy - keep my attention on the things that make for a good transaction, rather than the things that might make the buyer rate it as a good transaction. I dislike the defect system etc as much as everyone else, and I'm just as frustrated by buyers who give me low ratings / FB for stuff that they could have realised by paying attention to what they were doing.... But I honestly don't think keeping buyers focussed on the FB system is the answer.

I can't remember how I came by it, maybe it was posted on a board when the DSR ratings were implemented.

The only part I'm not sure applies these days is the bit in the 4th image where it says IT CAN RAISE THEIR FEES. Sounds like a US eBay blurb but I could be wrong.

Just a shame eBay don't include something similar in a message to all new members when they register.

Ahhhhh you feel my pain!

18 yr old works for Coles - very dedicated, works hard, well recognised by employers & just promoted.

However - pays no board, has girlfriend living in too.

Can't put an empty toilet roll in the bin much less take care of itself.

My intent is not that, but to get them to contact me before leaving feedback if there's an issue.
