The buyer has a parcel locker as their only address. I have clearly stated in my listing it costs $4 to send to a parcel locker. The buyer has only paid for the item with free shipping by courier which I don't have to explain, they don't deliver to parcel lockers. The $4 is to pay the extra it costs to use Australia post products. I have sent 2 messages to the buyer asking what they want to do and they have not responded. This is what it says in my listing. " We do send to PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers. Our courier can't deliver parcels to PO Boxes and parcel lockers, so we are forced to use Australia Post products which are more expensive. If you need your parcel sent to a parcel locker or PO Box please select “Ebay Australia Post flat rate 3kg satchel” from the postage options in checkout. This option costs $4 extra".

Buyer probably didn't even look at what you have written so I'd just pay the $4 out of my own pocket and send it as the buyer will just open a case for not receiving the item.

Why would you cut out a chunk of potential customers by not using Auspost as your default?

You have virtually no chance with this one. The buyer has paid what was on the invoice which is all they are obliged to do. If you wanted to force a certain type of delivery option you would have had to send an amended invoice with that cost before the buyer paid.
If $4 is going to decrease your profit margin so much that it is worth a long delay, a fight you will lose, a possible defect and a neg then stick to your guns by all means and don't post unless they send you another four bucks.

The buyer was probably annoyed at receiving a message asking for more money.
Then checked the listing and saw it was their own fault but thought it should be clearer when buying.
Now they don't know how to send $4 to you so have left it in the too hard pile for now.
As others have said, I would send it and just make the buyer aware to select the other postage method next time.
Happy customer is better and you have done your good deed for the week.

Many buyers don't even bother to read the text in the description, let alone go through ALL the text you have right down to the bottom where the shipping information is buried.
All the buyer sees is that shipping is free. Period.
As many other sellers will tell you, offering free shipping as suggested by Ebay doesn't guarantee higher sales.
Far better to make a decent margin on your items, drop the courier, start using Aus Post for all shipping and charge buyers for postage.

no response then just cancel with problem with buyers address

Or charge everyone $4.00 postage...that way you're covered if you need to send by Aus Post
