What the...

I sold a business shirt. A white business shirt.

I've just gotten a message complaining that the shirt is the wrong SHADE of white! Her idea of white is the crisp white, the one with a slight blue tint. The shirt was flat white (she is calling it cream).

Am I really supposed to just refund money because she wanted a different shade of white?

This is the second one this week that, as far as I can tell, is angling for a partial refund/discount. This is getting ridiculous.

OMG. Could she Bleach it ? Sorry for my attempt at humour. That really is just nonsense.  What is her FB like ? Ridiculously picky I bet. 😞

Actually her feedback is suprisingly good. The only neg she has left was legitimate. That doesn't nececarily mean she isn't a whiner though, she hasn't left me feedback yet either, so she might be one who doesn't leave feedback for items she gets picky about at all.

After the lady with the single pulled thread, and the idea that the BABY dress was supposed to come with a belt, earlier this week I am rather unamused. It's not like I am selling $40 shirts here! But actually, I half expect not to even get a response, since the baby dress buyer is yet to respond (I think she was hoping for full refund without return due to the 'damage' so my partial refund offer, and insistence it is returned if she wants a full refund, has thrown her off)

But honestly, if you want a specific shade of ANY colour, ask the seller BEFORE purchase! How many times do buyers need to be told photos are not colour accurate (though, my camera tends towards slight red tint, so there's no way the shirt is more creamy than the picture in this case anyway)

Here I go relying on people to have common sense again, but

wouldn't you think, that if you were so picky about different shades of white (for goodness sake), you would inquire about it PRIOR to buying/bidding?

Tell her that White it is natural colour is that colour and above that is a different shade of white.

Just look at Bulb temperatures, 5000k being neutral.

Was the photo representative of the item ?

Just checked out your listings, couldn't find a mens shirt to see what price the buyer paid, but going by the other listings it would have been very reasonable and your postage costs are very fair.

So all this carp is about an item that cost the buyer, what $20 ?

Seriously, I don't know how you guys sell here at all anymore, a nob like this would have me screaming!!

Kudos to you OP for sticking with it.

Item number was 291300368019

$8 item (less than my other shirts since it's easy to find white shirts, there's nothing special about a white business shirt) and $8 postage. $16 all up.

The good buyers outweigh the bad, but boy I've had a few bad ones this week! Just hoping neither of them feedback me until after the 20th, as I will be getting top rated seller status back this month I think if I don't get another defect in the meantime. As much as ebay frustrates me, husband got unfairly fired after being diagnosed with a chronic condition, so my ebay hobby for a bit of spending money has suddenly turned into our only income other than centerlink while he deals with medical issues. So, that is how I sell here lol.

And,yes to the previous poster who said, if you need a specific shade of colour why on earth are you shopping online!
