The only thing you really can do is open an unpaid item case (if or when four days have passed since the item ended), then wait another 4 full days and close it. After closing the case, you will receive a credit for the final value fee charged, and can relist the item or offer it to the underbidder (if there was one) with a second chance offer.

Yep... agree with DG.
You may want to consider blocking that buyer on your BBL or changing your buyer settings to block buyers who have 2 or more unpaid item strikes within a preset period. Then you won't see them back any more.

To reduce the number of times this happens you need to set your settings to automatically open an unpaid item dispute after four days, close it automatically after four days so you will get your fees back a week later.
Then set your account preferences to automatically block people with the lowest possible number of unpaid item strikes and all the other complaints in your preferences.
I looked back through my activity log last night and have had four bidders blocked in the last week. It is definitely faster than doing it manually. Also have not had any non paying bidders this week (that makes a change) and no low DSR either.
It is a pity that this is how business is on Ebay nowadays as we waste a lot of time not making sales. I would much rather be lugging sackloads of products to the post office instead of filling out postal logs, sorting receipts, answering false claims, and worrying if a bid is actually a bid or just a joke.

On this topic ..can anyone help me?
I sold a ring about 7 days ago and have had no response from the buyer, I have
politely requested he/she lets me know if there is any problem twice now and
absolutely nothing!
When I checked the feedback of this person, they have been on ebay not long and seem to have
bought something every day for the last 6 months.
They have left feedback for only one seller and it was negative.
My question is if I open an unpaid case against them ..can they leave feedback to me, when they have
not paid nor received the item?
So in other words when one purchases an item .. is the give feedback option open, before you even pay?

Yes, set up the unpaid item assistant to come on automatically AND also make sure you block this bidder from purchasing any of your items in the future. Personally had a case a couple of days ago where a bidder contacted me to say cancel their bid as they didn't want the item any more. I told them they had to cancel their own bids. Funnily enough, this bidder kept bidding on this item ... I put them on my blocked list before the auction ended. So many "time wasters" out there at the moment ... good luck!

Janelle, that is wrong......the feedback option is available as soon as an item is won.
If an Unpaid item dispute is opened and then closed without payment and the buyer gets a strike then the option to leave feedback is removed. If feedback has already been left ebay will remove it.
Sellers can never leave negative feedback for buyers under any circumstances and there is no set number of strikes before a member is banned/suspended.

Sellers can, and do leave feedback for buyers under all types of circumstances, including non-payment.
It is up to the buyer that feedback has been left for to request feedback removal, and then ebay may remove the comment in accordance with the relevant policy.
In any case, many serial non-payers don't seem to be fussed about this and amass pages and pages of feedback that notes their non payment for items - given their own contract-breaking, policy-breaking, dollar wasting behaviour approaching ebay to get several or dozens or hundreds of comments removed seems the height of arrogance IMO.
Not sure that anyone really knows how many strikes a member will get before they are banned or suspended. Nor the type of ban or suspension that is imposed. One can only speculate ....

If you really must dispute everything I say at least have the courtesy to dispute exactly what I said.......I said that sellers can not leave negative feedback for buyers.
We are all aware that you leave negative feedback for buyers....you have said so often enough, but most sellers follow the rules.
And did I not say that there is no set number of strikes before ebay takes action?
