buyer raised an item not received case, case opened and closed within one minute

I had a, buyer opened a non-received case on NOV 10.24am and within one minute the case is closed in buyer s favor (10:25am NOV20). I had no chance to respond to the case and ebay within one minute.

I contacted ebay  and an ebay staff Deryi. D replied to me on NOV 20 evening and advised that the case was opened on November 15 and I had 3 days to reply and I didn t use that opportunity to do so, which is FALSE information.

The case was opened and closed on NOV 20, 10:24 and 10:25am. This is documented in my ebay record, and no case was opened on NOV 15 as claimed by their own staff. Either your staff made up some lie or it s ebay s system error because I can prove my ebay and email records that I was given just ONE minute to respond and NOT 3 days.

More research on the Discussion Forum revealed that other sellers suffered from the fact that ebay opened and closed a case within one minute. I appealed the case to request an immediate refund all associated cost of the claim and that any deficits on connection with this sale be adjusted from my selling account.

However the reply to the appeal is that "After reviewing your appeal, we won't be able to change the outcome of the case, unfortunately. We're sorry there was a problem this transaction. However, after further review, we confirmed that our original decision was correct."

Everything regarding the time mentioned are documented on my ebay record and readily available to be used as evidence. Giving out false information is a very serious matter especially the information comes from ebay s staff, and the wrong information even contradicts with ebay s own records upon simple verification. I am not convinced at this point that ebay is treating its sellers fairly.

ebay appears to be running by a bunch of rubbishes these days who only care about themselve and ignore any problem in their system.

Cat LOL

OP without more information it is tricky to advise.

I would however refrain from emailing in this case, and be ringing again and requesting to speak to a supervisor, if they are not available request one rings you back.

Paid 11, posted the next day 12th in envelope and stamps, no tracking, but the point is I was even given a chance (or asked) to provide a tracking number! The buyer would found out this when she received the package and she probably knew she will get the money back without effort. The case opened and closed on Nov 20, no alerts before that day, I don't miss an email and nothing appeared in resolution centre before Nov 20, I just cannot explain the mystery but I was not the only victim because similar case was found in another discussion thread.

Correction: "... I was NOT even given a chance (or asked) to provide a tracking number..."

I wasn't questioning the info you posted at all, mostly just wanted to suggest that the case details in the resolution centre should now have the documented history of when it was opened and closed, which will then hopefully show eBay acted in error - if their own records dispute what the rep told you, they don't have a leg to stand on.

A complaint (or two) to the FOS by anyone who has experienced similar might also see them fixing up this MBG mess.

In the resolution centre it shows the date of the enquiry was first opened and logs communication and actions that occur through the resolution.

what dates does this show ?

All of this matters so you can argue a case to eBay about not being given a chance to provide evidence you sent the item - the more you can identify where the glitches are. and maybe not help in your case, but at least put pressure on that the system is stooooofed.
