Hi there can anyone help me with my question.
Buyer has purchased an item and paid and my listing clearly states buyer to pay postage fees. They are now wanting a refund just because they do not want to pay postage. Is this allowed. They have demanded I issue a refund and they have paid by e cheque which was not one of the options.
HELP

Was postage included in the listing? If so, it should have been added to the invoice automatically.
eCheque isn't really the buyer's fault, If they paid with PayPal, sometimes that just kinda happens. They have still paid with PayPal, and that is one of your options.
Without knowing the listing, I'd say this is a listing error (therefore your mistake), not the customers. I have never heard of an occasion where if there is no postage amount entered that eBay will allow the customer to proceed through check out - so I'm going to guess that you somehow have marked free postage.

Yes OP, this is in your court. I've just looked at all of the items that you have sold in the last 15 days and every single one of those is listed as Free Postage AND Cash On Delivery.
I skimmed some of the listings and didn't see where you said there was a postage cost.
Cash On Delivery is an expensive Australia Post Service, it is very different to Cash on Pick Up (which is what I think you wanted) BTW

Ifr you have inadvertently listed with free postage in the postage cost area nothing you say in your listing supersedes that and you should just eat the cost yourself and send it, if you have already demanded postage then you may get a neg anyway but before you list again do your homework. You need to list as pick up only with no postage cost or you have to enter a cost for postage.

Just to clarify the listings, the OP has selected the Local Pick-up only option and has not stated any postage costs. As we all know, this unfortunately displays in search results as Free Post, but when you look at the postage options, there are none stated. (Cash on delivery is a payment option, not a postage option).
The listing description I looked at stated Local pick up from Preston or happy to post at buyers expense.
I am presuming all the other items were listed the same way, and while the listing format is a little confusing, the seller isn't really the one at fault here.
OP, to fix this issue, you need to change the way you list a little. Click Add or remove options in the postage section and make sure the Local pick up option is ticked, then save. 'No postage, local pick-up only' will then be available to select in the dropdown menu. You need to use that rather than leaving a flat rate postage option, as then the listings will displaye Pick Up only, not Free Post, in search results. You also need to select Pay On Pickup as a payment option (not cash on delivery). Either do that, or state your flat rate postage costs up front and then tick the box to say pick up is also available.
In this instance, because the way the items were listed are a bit confusing, I would agree to a refund if that's what the buyer preferred. I'm not sure if you can do it before the eCheque clears, though, and that can take several days.

Sorry excuse my ignorance. I just looked at the item I sold it stated in postage local pick up only will not post
I understand in the body it states buyer to pay postage and this may not be enough but it did state in postage local pick up only (no postage)
So confusing
