Yes you can cancel the bids and then end
What I showed you in my previous post was from one of my listings that has 3 hrs to go and all I had to do is proceed a bit further and I could have ended the listing.
At the risk of going around in circles.... No you wouldn't have.
Just because it looks like you can do something, doesn't mean the system will allow it to be done. It happens all the time on eBay - with listing forms, dispute processes etc etc etc.

Yes to OPs question

Yes I would have and hopefully someone will soon agree with me

Zelly - sorry but I have to back DG on this one.
If an item has bids on it the seller can only end the listing in the last 12 hours if they are prepared to sell it to the current highest bidder.
The seller can cancel bids within the last 12 hours but is unable to end the listing even if all bids have been cancelled.
If a buyer places a bid within the last 12 hours they can retract their bid within one hour of placing the bid. After that they are unable to retract their bid.

If an item has bids on it the seller can only end the listing in the last 12 hours if they are prepared to sell it to the current highest bidder.
That is the second option
The first option is you can end the listing altogether.
I can't believe none of you agree with this

I'm basing my posts both on the information provided by eBay, and on previous posts in the forum by sellers who have cancelled all bids with less than 12 hours to go but not been able to end the listing - they have tried, but eBay prevents it.

Well I'm basing my posts on fact that you can end a listing anytime with or without bids with information provided by Ebay,so why then would you and I have been given two different scenarios to the same question? So is it some sellers that can and some sellers that can't end a listing, this must be the reason because I'm a seller that can.

Zelly - yes the first option will show but you can only use that option if there is more than 12 hours left on the listing.
If you try to do it a message comes up from ebay advising you the listing can't be ended as there is less than 12 hours left.
This is to stop sellers from listing auctions at a low starting price and withdrawing right at the end if the price hasn't gone high enough.

You are 100% incorrect
on โ02-02-2014 03:36 PM
Well then the ebay help pages are also 100% incorrect.
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/sell/end_early.html
A run quite a few 99c auctions and I wish sometimes that I could end an auction within the last 12 hours as I can see the item is going to sell at a loss but the system will not allow it.
