eBay Australia have made a mess of a combined shipping sale with several items. They have only passed on about 2/3 of the money and are unable to fix this in under 10 days! Every day I get some new time-frame (please wait 48hrs / the manager will contact you wait 24h / it will take 5-7 days etc). They acknowledge their mistake but refuse to pay me because "we are unable to issue the money as we would first need to replicate as to why the remaining amount was not issued to you". Does anyone have an opinion on the legality of this - holding my money, delaying shipping so they can debug their stuff-up? Also does anyone no how I can report eBay Australia to the parent company for their inappropriate behaviour? Does anyone know if this constitutes behaviour reportable to ACCC or will it take legal action to get anywhere.

Just to get up your nose, maybe there is a security issue with the sale, maybe there are concerns that the purchase is unauthorized, fraudulent, unusual, etc.
By the way CS acknowledging fault, means zilch, and they absolutely love customers with attitude, capiche!

Was the combined ITEM price $250?
Then was the combined POSTAGE price $110?
Making a total of $360?
Can you give us item numbers?
Ebay would not send you $360 if you are on Managed Payments, as they will take their fees out first.
Fees on $360 would be approx $50, so the max you would get is approx $310.
They will also deduct any promotional listing fees upfront.
What does your transaction summary say in your Payment Account as that will show all the transaction fees.

No to the first bit - just doesn't work
As for the second bit CS wouldn't know attitude if it stood up and bit them
Look I started this not wanting advice, explanation etc. etc. just asking if anybody knew how to contact eBay central (bypassing OZ help) Or how to report them to whatever is the relevant regulatory body - read my query that's all I asked.

No - eBay have paid me on a sale total of $250 less all relevant fees - not on a sale total of $360 less relevant fees.
They admit the mistake but will not rectify until they work out how it happened.

..and just to further clarify - the combined sale total was $350 - postage charge (as per invoice) was $11.50. Total invoiced amount $361.50 - total the buyer paid eBay (AS indicated by buyer and confirmed by eBay) was this amount $361.50
Now the tricky bit - ebay worked the fees out on total of about $250 and sent me $220 (I.e 250-fees)
What they have done is total each single price ignoring that the buyer did this:
Item 1 - 1 unit
Item 2 - 1 unit
Item 3 - 3 units
Item 4 - 2 units
Item 5 - 4 units
Item 6 - 1 unit
Item 7 - 1 unit
If you total 1 unit of each of these 7 items you get $250
If you total what the buyer purchased, was invoiced for - and paid you get $350
eBay has simply stuffed this up - they know it they admit it but they want 10 days to fix it!

Yep, and if a bank makes a mistake they want 5 to 10 days to fix it. If I return an item to a store it takes 5 to 10 days to get the refund, the return of money always takes longer then giving people money.
Sounds like a mountain out of a mole hill

I'd change banks and shop elsewhere. This money isn't locked it's in eBay's control.
