ebay stole my profits. yes i know that you should read the terms and fee conditions but there aren't any other auction alternatives that efficient as ebay yet but i hope there will be soon. 7.9% is a complete rip off and they know it. I sold and ipad for $370 and ebay took $29.30. That says it all. we are all played like sheep paying those public company profits......

Not sure I understand, why would you offer something for sale for less than your outlay?
If I have something that cost me $100 and I want to sell at a profit I would start it at a minimum of $150 so that my expenses of just over ten percent including eay fees were covered and I was still in profit. Every dollar it went over that start price I would still be making nearly 90c extra profit.
Of course you could have listed it on a couple of other sites and your fees would have been considerably lower but that would be because it sold for a lot less, if at all.

Actually you are not allowed to charge exorbitant postage and if you do you will probably find your listings reported.

No , you are NOT allowed to charge as much as you see fit. You are only allowed to charge as much as it costs to post, plus cost of wrapping and handling. To charge more is reportable as "fee avoidance" because you do not pay FVF on the postage&handling you are charging. By charging more than double what it cost you to post, you are not only ripping off eBay but all the honest sellers who only charge for the actual postage.

This misleading advice was also given in another thread. Makes it a bit hard for OPs. ๐

Furthermore, 7.9% is EBAY's fee... Paypal is heaps cheaper than that.

I Agree with you, And at the end of the month you will probably be charged $29 again , As my items sell ebay takes a % before sending payment to paypal then at the end of the month they take it again so they are double dipping so to speak

Ebay does not "send payment to paypal". Where do you get that idea?

Ebay takes a % before the money goes to paypal then at the end of the month it's taken again
