I have just accepted the 100 free promotional listings. I started to relist my unsolds, only got 17 relisted and ebay wants to charge me for the rest. What the hell is going on?

You will probably find that the items you are being charged for have the auto-relists on them ....
The original email states in the exclusions .....
Listings that automatically or manually relist during the Promotion Period are not eligible for this promotion.
(Thank you to 'scubadiver' for posting this on an original thread.)

There was a similar mess last time they had a 100 free promotions. Lots of people rang and emailed, but apparently it's had little effect.
And what does this actually mean - Listings that automatically or manually relist during the Promotion Period are not eligible for this promotion?
Of course they're not eligible because they should already be free.
I'm not accepting the 100 free until I can list all 100 before any auto-relists come up.

I had all of my listings credited after the last mix-up (50 in total) which I thought was very generous ......
I think eBay learnt from this mix up .... I read it that if you list anything and leave the 'automatically relist item" tick, you will be charged, so I am removing the it. Anything listed during the promotion is free, but will not be automatically relisted .... I'm happy with that.
I would be happy if someone corrects me, but this is how I read it.

I don't want to say this too loadly, but I'm using the 100 free and getting the free autos on those listings.

I've just listed 93 items and none came off the free promo which started this morning at midnight. I will contact eBay and find out what happened. They don't have auto-relist.

Support has agreed this is a technical error and have got their team working on it. Once verified, I will receive credits.
There were early suggestions that I listed in more than one category and that caused the charge, which I NEVER do, and I couldn't find any items like this.
I've lost my usual 40 free listings for the month as it's used up all of those. ๐

I forgot to mention I am using Turbo Lister, takes too long with this many items now to do it manually.

I haven't got any items in two catergories. I have got quite a few items that will disappear in 2 days because they will be older than 60 days. I am able to relist some things but not others, some have the auto relist button checked but not others. I couldn't even create a brand new listing without it costing me, even though i still had about 20 free listings left.
It's either a stupid glitch or another attempt to rid ebay of small sellers such as myself. This carp is happening on all of my accounts, i think i will have to find another auction site to list everything. I have tried a few without much success, i really want to find something that will work. I am getting so sick of all the problems with ebay, i just don't know how much more i can take.
