In the past year my sales have not been as good, like a lot of sellers, i believe.
For the past 9 days I have had no sales at all a first.
Is it just me or have the lights been turned off again ?

Sorry but we are ticking over with one or two sales a day, and yesterday 6 sales in one day, these are items ranging from $75.00 up to $300.00.

I'm the same as davewil - same or better sales - I am 13% up on the same period last year. But having said that, sales for November so far have been poor and I expect they will improve. Stores just enjoyed 10,000 free listings promotion so when that happens sales usually dip as there is much more stock on the market competing. To enjoy strong, steady sales it is vitally important to list at least 20 new items per day even if you recycle them using the "sell similar" method. Don't ask me why or how but it works.

I am new here, selling only for about 4 months, and saying I am dissatisfied would be the understatement of my lifetime!
I have over $500K of stock listed and even at 50% of normal retail prices, I am selling less than $600 a week (yes, not $6,000 a week which would give me a breakeven position after costs, if I pay myself zero โ but $600 a week).
Retail stores canโt even buy at the prices I am selling at on ebay.
In a previous (recent) life I had a traditional stationery only retail outlet with less than half my current stock levels that are listed on ebay and I was selling between $4K and $6K per day (Yes, per DAY).
Having sold that business, I have a restraint of trade so canโt open another โbricks and mortarโ store again unless I move town/house โ I am too old for that upheaval.
I have been in various forms of owner operator businesses for 40 years, and NOTHING has been anywhere near as bad as this ebay selling experience.
There is a lot I could do to improve my listings but I just canโt see that I could possibly get any reasonable reward for that additional effort. As you will see from my figures I am not just a โpercentageโ below where I need to be, I am not even at one tenth of where I would need to be to just break even.

You might be surprised if you DID put some effort in, rather than expect stuff to fly off the shelves. As you have been advised previously.
Also, unless you are Woolies or Coles, lowest price doesn't necessarily translate into more sales. Up your prices 10% (after you've fixed your listings) and you might well sell more. Or even the same amount, but your nett would be significantly higher.

I checked my 120 day rolling average for my combined store sales a couple of days ago and I,m exactly on target to meet the same 30 day figure x 4 as I always sell. I know some people on the boards are highly sceptical, but I know what i,m seeing.. .....so my sales are exactly the same to within a few dollars as they where 3 months ago and 6 months ago.
Sales on the private account come and go a bit, but averaged out they have been pretty good the last few weeks. I,m not listing at the moment so things will probably slow down, but basically fairly happy with my ebay sales in general.

Chameleon54- You're like Even Steven (from Seinfield)- always on an even keel whilst some others of us, are like in a strange vortex, of sales then NO sales!

In another post same general topic ie sales down or nonexistsant someone mentioned that sales seemed to stop when they switched to the new sellers hub. It was like they had been turned off.
I can say that my sales decreased substantially after switching to the new hub. As an experiment I switched back today to see what would happen. I did not expect anything to happen for probable 12 to 24 hours. As we all know some things are slow to take effect on eBay.
You won't beleive it 3 sales in the last 1 1/2 hours. Could be a coincidence of course, but my Friday afternoon & nights are usually quiet. Be interisting to see what happens over the weekend.
