when questioned if I mind if the seller keeps my post money I'm happy to pay if the seller delivers... just wondering what others thoughts are on this situ:
bought a fragile item, it was hand delivered which I was not expecting....(i paid $13 post)...which I realise now they're kept.
advantages being no post office queues if not home, comes to me in one piece and earlier than would have got to me via post.
is this the way it works?
I sell too, and where closeby I have delivered but not for that amount of money...i'd be inclined to refund partial... but perhaps thats just me.
the item is nice. the person was friendly. any comments?

LOL
Does this apply when a seller sends something via courier?
I certainly haven't got any intention of paying for a post office box on the off-chance that a seller sends via courier rather than AP (when the listing says AP). The post office holds my mail without charge if I go away for a month so I see no point in paying for a post office box in case I miss getting there on one particular day. My mail would only get squashed into the box and crumpled anyway, but it's always stored neatly without any folding when I just collect the normal way from the PO counter.

Please stop trying to put to me and my advice and my views down.
Each of our post speak for themselves, and others can judge as they wish.
Move on .....

No, I don't think so, as it's an AP service. The buyers address will look something like:
Jane Smith
Parcel Collect 12345-67890
123 Dumb St <<<<---- that being the PO's address
Somewhere, 9876
The thing that I like about it is, if you're going away somewhere, you don't have to have the PO hold parcels until your return. If you have bought stuff and know it won't arrive before you go, you can get it sent to the nearest PO or agency of where you'll be staying. The parcel collect number stays the same, you just the address of the post office.
I suppose for people like yourself it makes no difference as your mail is held any way, but for the rest of us, it's quite a useful service. City folk also have the option of parcel lockers. They are scattered around the place and the PO sends a message to say their parcel is in the locker. The recipient can access that 24 hours a day. They are in places like shopping centres and service stations. I'm in a rural area, so they are not an option for me.

If the seller had originally listed the item as Free post would you expect to get the consonants back, the vowels or the
whole phrase?...... just curious
