Every time I list something, there is someone watching what I list....can I block this person or find out who it is??

Nouna, with the cost of postage now, people who like an item might put it on their Watch-List to see if you're going to put up something else they'd consider buying. That way, they could at least save a bit of money by buying two or more of your items with combined postage. Many people aren't prepared to pay postage for just one item these days, especially when sellers automatically want to charge $9.00 for one flimsy item. Some sellers know that postage is the deal-breaker these days and they find cheaper postage methods which encourage people to buy
In any case, don't you look in shops ? Don't you go through items in shops, think about it and then put them back on the rack and walk off to look in other shops? Well, it's the same on ebay. How would you like it if a retailer stopped you from entering their premises because you'd looked at their items without buying them in the past ? It's the same thing

I live in the middle of nowhere and my watch list is pretty long.......but I also buy a lot. If I like something I put it in my list and when it's 1 day to go I have another look and make my decision. Having watchers is a good thing.

How do you know it is the same person?
And only one watcher?
Most things I look at these days seem to have loads of watchers.
I myself have 18 pages of watched items.
Sometimes I am looking to buy, sometimes I just want to get a feel for what an item usually sells for.
I can't see that having watchers is a bad thing though-worse to be selling and have no watchers and no bidders.

Wow, Lyndal. Go girl!!
That's awesome work.
You will be my role model now. I will just have to work out how to do lists.

Maybe someone saw one of your items, put you on their favourites and checks their favourites everyday.
You only have a few listings so you are not hard to keep track of, but you're way to small to attract the attention of a competitor.
Don't worry about it.

Making a list is not hard springy.
When you go to put something on your Watch List you also have a choice of Wish List or Another List. Click on that bottom option and you get a window to name the new list. Type in what you want to call it and away you go.
I have seperate lists for everything....dvds, pearl jewellery, gold jewellery....there is also a list for suspect listings found by reading the boards. It is easy to keep an eye on them if they are on a list.
