how long would you wait before flagging non-payer?

I sold an item, local pickup only.

I sent the successful bidder a message about pickup, he nominated a day and time.

I responded, suggesting one hour later, as I might not be home from work.

I was home at the time the buyer proposed. He did not show up, and has not replied to two messages since then.

So has either reneged, or is incapacitated due to some crisis, perhaps.

I do not intend to relist it just yet, but wonder what is the usual period before you give a buyer a black mark?

At this stage, I would be open an unpaid item dispute. I don't offer pick up on the items I sell, but in general I give it 4-5 days before contacting the buyer (owing to allowing up to 7 to pay), if no response I open the UPI case as soon as my nominated timeframe in the listing is up.

I don't do pick up but I wait 4 days unless buyer has messaged me.

If it is a pick up item I would be calling them on the phone to make arrangements and then if they didn't turn up at the arranged time I would open an unpaid item dispute.
