Do you really think that the postage terms are clear?
Guess, I didn't make myself clear, I meant the postage details are clear as far as they state within 5 business days. Shows I didn't read OP properly myself - saw the bit about once a week, but misread it!!! Time for bed for me LOL!!!
C and J, I would suggest that it would be a good idea for your postage details be included somewhere in description in and hopefull buyers will see it. This may save you any further problems. I see you have good feedback so you are doing something right.

DG - you were too fast for me LOL!!! Yes Bold Font would be best.
Bump - I have been known to revised lisitngs a few times as I'm prone to making mistakes - call it what you will - I call it AGE!!!!!
When buying items I rarely look at revisions - guess because I do it often myself. LOL!!!

This is what the OP has written yet I can't find it on the listing so maybe the buyer and I are both too thick.
Also it isn't very clear to have 5 days handling time if the OP writes that they usually post within 5 days of receiving payment. That leaves it open for the buyer to hope you will post the next day.
If it is 5 days then that is what should be stated.

I look at the number of revisions because I don't want to snipe something that might have changes to the listing after I read it.
If a seller has a habit of making a lot of revisions then I am very wary.
I got caught out once when a seller changed the measurements from 22 cm to 22 inches which is a big difference in size when I was wanting a loom small enough to fit in a carry bag.
I read the listing made a note of the item number and then several days later sniped in the last 20 seconds but was stunned when the postman delivered the parcel, it was the first I knew about the revisions to that listing.:^O

The OP doesn't write "within" - eBay writes that. To be fair, though, perhaps the OP should make the handling time 7 days, just to give that full 7 days, incase they pay on Saturday and wonder why it's not posted by Wednesday the next week, for example. 7 days allows the full week and if the buyer's aren't happy with the terms, they don't have to bid.
Someone can hope an item is posted the next day but if the terms clearly state a handling time of upto 5 or 7 days, then that is the maximum of what is agreed to when bidding.

Hi Op , it might not be your fault i havent looked at your listings. I know you said you only get out once a week because you said you are disabled, and that is understandable. But with your buyer, they obviously havent noticed or been able to understand your postage and handling times.
If it was me, i would possibly ask a neighbour a relative or a friend if they could drop the DVD off at the post office earlier for you.
Then send an email to your buyer, explain you are disabled and only get to the post office once a week, and sorry that they didnt realise that when they bid. But seeing as how it is for a special occassion like a birthday you asked a friend for a favour and got it posted early for them so they would get it for the birthday.
That way hopefully you will get good feedback, and possibly a long term customer for your good customer service.

Some sellers have goo resons for posting once a week like either as you mentioned disabeled, a seller may have no car and its been raining all day, car is getting fixed, waiting PaYpal funds to arrive in bank account
I had one yesterday as well that paid and 2 hours later asked me if I had posted it. I told them the truck leaves my post office at 11am, so is pointless posting in the arvo and would be posted tommorow
Your buyer should have asked if it is possible it would arrive befor the birthday before they purchased it, not posting for 2-3 days is normal for a lot of sellers

That's not a good reason.. IMO As soon as the seller has the money in PayPal they should post the item..
It really annoys me when I see buyers complaining that the item they ordered won't be there in time for their sons/grand daughters/daughters birthday.. If they want something at a certain time then they should buy it earlier to allow postage time or buy it from a shop..
I know how erratic Australia Post can be with their delivery times so I wouldn't rely on them to deliver something when I needed it..
Cut the OP some slack, she is disabled so may have a problem with communicating and making herself understood.
It is not the sellers fault if the buyer doesn't read the postage terms.. That is usually the first thing I look at when I buy something.. A 2-3 day handling period is not unreasonable.. I have bought from sellers with a 5 day handling time and found it often gets sent within 2-3 days

While giving reasons for not posting immediately may be irrelevant, it is a good idea for buyers to understand why the seller cannot just run out to the PO. Explanation could save the OP from NEG or low stars.
If seller only posts on Friday it should be very clearly stateted somewhere near the top in the TOS/description area. To say that you post within 5 days ( 5 business days = 1 week) is not good enough.

Hi Carly,
I think your feedback speaks for itself mate, as said earlier you are obviously doing something right. I don't know how remote your home is, but if you use click and send I think they can collect/pickup. This may not suit as I am sure they need a certain volume to make it viable, but not knowing your business thought I should maybe point it out and you could look into it. Good Luck I think you are doing great
