A few of my preowned dresses, all of which are one offs have product review ratings at the top of the listings and detailed at the bottom. eg #311894848122 the only thing the rated product has in common is it is for a dianna ferrari size 8 dress. Its not for one of mine or even the same style of dress..the rating is therefore irrelevent and misleading.
What if that buyer had a negative experience from someone else why should I have to wear a bad review??

Or have I got that wrong?
non of them have UPC/MPN either so thats not cross linking them, it must be purely title part matching.

definitely is the title matching.
i sell genuine high-end cosmetics and often reviews pop up on my listings which are from chinese knock-offs where the reviewer (and quite rightfully so) has said "this item is fake."
obviously, that does huge damage to my ability to attract potential buyers to my items when they see "this item is fake" on my listing.

That's a serious concern.
I'd be livid, and taking that one as high-up the eBay food chain as possible.
They are affecting not just your income but your reputation.

Was told to use the report link on the review (there isn't one) and they will remove any that contravene guidelines...except it doesn't reviewer did nothing wrong it is relevent for the item they are reviweing. It is Ebay who is putting them willy nilly on non related listings.
Luckily so far I have not come across a bad one..just all irrelevent. You dont even see them unless you open you own listing for some reason. So most will have them without even knowing.
