it is in ebay policy.. under the term "cleared funds" you just have to find it

@bloodlust_03 wrote:and to add reason why i pushed ebay for this..is because i posted the item would not be sent until cleared funds as a condition of sale.. the winner didn't even have the money to pay for item.. said he would pay 5 days after he placed his bid...i told him that ebay will hold his funds for 21 days.. his responce was "i don't care u have to post under ebay policy"
a case of a buyer using the systym to his advantage...i waited for payment and i still had to send a second reminder.. this is because the buyer tried to use ebay policy ...for his advantage.i know better i know the law
ok . so im the wrong dooer here for sticking to my rights.. as a casual seller.. i always win ive never lost in court
I had to smile ironically at the part above. Isn't that just typical. A buyer who thinks he has the right to take as long as he likes before paying & who needs a second reminder before payment still expects you to be fast as lightning with posting.
I'd say that if ebay released your funds early it is because you made a fuss. In my experience, the meek don't inherit the earth. But I would wager all the other new sellers are probably still under the 21 day hold, ebay probably haven't changed it across the board, they have made an exception for you.
When I first heard of the 21 day hold, I thought it was pretty harsh, especially on sellers who may have sold a fair bit in a short period because they would be out of pocket postage expenses till the money came through.
But at the same time, I can sort of understand ebay's position as they don't want a new seller to come on, get lots of money in a short time, then close accounts, not send anything, disappear.

ebay only wants fee's they don'tcare for buyers or sellers.. just fee's i sold a item ... a nice price.. i had to wait for payment.. send a reminder than he had the nerve to say u have to post..
i said no as listed on item.. it would only be posted when funds are cleared... as listed in auction

Trivial Pursuit. So you are going to nag eBay every time you sell something to release the funds that are really held by Paypal?
Why choose a username that makes you sound like a terrorist? Maybe that is what scared eBay, not your constant nagging.

it's like i have a violin for sale..it is 150 yr old can be veryfied u think im going to post b4 cleared funds.. no friggin way and ebay policy can fly on that.. i get paid i will post

I would advise that you learn the difference between evidence and proof - they are not the same thing, and all that you have provided in this thread is evidence; anecdotal at that.
I recommend you research it yourself, but I'll point you in the right direction here and now,
Evidence is suggestive.
Proof is conclusive.
As far as I'm concerned, all you have done is provide evidence that you can pester eBay into getting what you want. You still have not provided any proof whatsoever that the policy itself is illegal. Until you do the latter, all you are doing is showing us that you don't understand much of anything, except the squeaky wheel gets the grease, but still won't shut up.
By the way... eBay already puts that sellers wont post until they get cleared payment, on every single listing on the site. That's because cleared payment and released funds aren't the same thing.

maybe u read ACCC guidelines to sales.wait.. who is bigger? ACCC or ebay?

Dude, you seem to have a short memory. As a business owner, it is my responsibility to know and understand the laws in place governing businesses.
Not only that, I have made formal complaints about eBay to the ACCC. Guess what happened?

@bloodlust_03 wrote:u know nothing.... u talk cr ap why do u think ebay gave in to me.. i know u don't
I don't know, and I don't care why you got what you wanted.
Don't you get it? That's precisely the problem here. You think just because eBay caved into your demands, that it somehow proves you're right about something completely different, when it does absolutely nothing of the sort. It just shows you were able to convince eBay not to uphold their policy, the reasoning behind why is not provided and you are just claiming it as evidence of something else with no clear justification whatsoever.
It's like in ancient times, some dude made a rattle, shook it a few times, and saw that it started raining, so now the dude is convinced shaking a rattle makes it rain.
I'll leave you to your rattle, mr bloodlust, you seem to enjoy shaking it so.
