so i listed a lounge suite on ebay, urgently needing to sell it as we bought a new one and we dont have the room to store the old one, (vinnies wouldnt except it and i was having trouble finding someone to give it away to)
so i listed it at 1 cent starting bid, not caring what it was going to sell for because my main aim was to give rid of it.
still in pretty good condition, but some wear as its 11 years old.
i had on my listing very clearly, pick up in victoria (and my suburb) and serious bidders only.
i got 1 person who put multiple bids on so i assumed they desperately wanted it.
they ended up winning the lounge suite for 1 cent.
i didnt care wasnt worried about the money.
i go to send them an invoice.. and then i realised i'd been stuffed over.
they live in qld.
i sent them the invoice asking them if they wanted the item? if they were in victoria at the time, or if they knew someone here, or what the story was... 5 days have passed, several messages sent, and heard NOTHING.
i cant understand why people do this sort of thing. they bid on an item, with no intention of buying and dont even bother to get back to you. so i have this couch sitting in my garage, my car sitting on the nature strip in the weather and i have to wait 7 days to be able to lodge a NPB.
all because they get on ebay and think oh yea great these people are desperate to get rid of something, so i'll whack on a few bids and just ignore them when i win, it'll be real bloody funny.
so they are now on my ever growing list of blacklisted people.
and i do have my account set so that people with marks against their name cant bid on my items.
oh well thats my rant, thanks for listening guys.

Put it on gumtree - think ebay owns that too, put my old lounge suite on there for free and had 800 responses and gone within a day, not worth the fees on ebay of you dont really want anything for it

You only have to wait 4 days to open the non payer dispute and 4 days later you can close it.
Nothing else you can do really.
Put it out the front with for sale $50 on it and it will more then likely be gone by the morning with no payment given.

lol i had that thought, if i put it on the lawn and have a sign for free it will stay there, as soon as i put a sale price someone will take it hehe
