mail bouncing back

Is anyone else having trouble with mail being returned? Had a couple 2 weeks ago. Another one yesterday and 3 today. They were all stamped at my local PO , they all went through Perth mail center then disappeared for a few days then came back (and stamped again by the PMC) to the Perth mail center then back to me.

No RTS or reason for return.  3 went to Qld and one to Tas. Got the folks at PO scatching there head (They have had others mail bounce back too.

One is a replacement item for an item the buyer said they never got so they are going to be reeeeeal happy with me.

Aust post is doing my head in !

Re: mail bouncing back

Gee, not good form.

I would send the buyers a pic of the articles restamped attached in a message.

When they see proof in front of them and you explaining it has been totally out of your hands with AP not offering explanations buyers should understand.

Re: mail bouncing back

automation or human error? I hope they get to the bottom of this. The last time I had something returned it had been to Chullora sorting centre, sat there for days & was then returned to me...no explanation given 😞

I would cut & paste this thread to let your customers know.....good luck!

Re: mail bouncing back

I've heard that if the return address on your letters is in bigger writing than the address it's going to then the system thinks that's the address to send too lol.

Re: mail bouncing back

I send out hundres of DL envelopes and have been using the same returna ddress label on the back for over 2 years without problem.

I have contacted the affected buyers with photos - just waiting to see what sort of replies I get (Asbestos undies on)

I have open a case with Australia post .

How they can  take the return address on the back of the envelope as the delivery address when the big address , stamps and cancalation marks are on the front is beyond me. They even went through the sorting machines the right way up as they were stamped on the front with time and date they went through.

They must have some ex ebay staff over there - making easy things hard !
