Just wondering if any other sellers have trouble with the inconsistent arrival times of packages overseas. At the start of year I was a top rated seller but because of Australia Post inconsistency i am rated as below standard because of late arrival time(even though items are sent on time 100% of the time).. Some airmail parcels taking 40 days to more to arrive. Would be interested if other people having same problem. I sell vinyl(records) by the way and have never had a problem until last 6-8 months

I don't sell much internationally anymore but other sellers have suggested putting out the handling time.
So if you put it out to 10 days, that should cover delays.
Buyers usually don't look at handling time and marking it posted next day means when they get the item posted email, concerns a laid to rest anyway.

Overseas deliveries are not handled by Australia Post.
The country of destination is who handles it. There are problems with just about
all mail deliveries oveseas.
You just have to choose which countries are not doing their job and not post to there.

Delays within the recipient country postal system/customs clearance are the main cause of problems. We stopped shipping to Canada because packages can take 8 weeks to clear local customs

Yes, as well as Israel, Russia - and now USA is off the list.
Americans can be sooo impatient.

Yes, a lot of problems lately. Up to 3 and 4 weeks to US and Canada since the start of the year.
It is taking up to 2 weeks to New Zealand also. Crazy considering they are closer than Perth!

Yes I have had more problems in the last six months too. I have blocked sales to several countries on new listings, with Canada being my biggest problem area. Pity because I have just come across a pile of stock that would suit the Canadian market. I have pushed my handling time out to 5 days and increased the amount I charge for self insurance of international items from 50 cents to $1.00.

Sorry to hear about that.
I've had handling time of 5 days for a few years now. Looks like it needs to be twice that now!
