BTW, I noticed that while he's clearly received quite a few feedbacks for the items he's selling, he doesn't appear to have left any feedback at all for any of his buyers. Also, it's thieving sods like these who cause our postal fees to rise so much and so frequently. It's a pity there was no return address as it makes it rather hard to report him to AP.

Thieving sods like this deserve to be caught !  I personally think it's insulting to all honest sellers for him to continue to get away with it.  Gee, every now and then you read something on here about sellers who've undercharged for postage & if there's a Return Address the sender is billed, I can understand for sellers who don't lodge over the counter that may happen accidentally on the odd occasion, but this is just blatant abuse.  It's not like he's even making much profit, but that's not the point - it's the principal of what he's doing that matters here & as you said  it's thieving sods like these who contribute to our postal fees rising so much and so frequently.

From what my PO tells me, in situations where Aust Post acknowledges the sender has done the wrong thing and cannot be identified, as in, if there is no Return Address, they endeavour to do the right thing by the recipient & still deliver, even though they lose !

Interesting ......... I bet AP is aware of this happening, but as you say without a return address, continue to send it on without charge to the recipient perhaps.

Incidentally, since participating in this particular thread, advertising at the bottom of my eBay page is showing ink stamps for sale with "POSTAGE PAID AUSTRALIA" .......... LOL

I have tryed just for fun  see how low he would go as his items are $1 or best offer but it wont let me bid under $1,  is that correct

Yes, that's correct. Having 'or best offer' on items priced at $1 is pointless, because $1 is the minimum price for a Buy It Now, no further discounts can apply (eBay's rules, even when you put store items on sale, the final price can't be less than $1.00).

Actually, I think the eBay adverts for pre-inked POSTAGE PAID AUSTRALIA stamps appeared after I googled that topic ....... very interesting ......... It's funny and scary at the same time.

Hang on a minute . . . . . . .  what tha ??  So we could buy one and stamp our own envelopes ??  Presumably you would then lodge at PO and pay the appropriate postage, but I thought those stamps were only available to businesses directly from Aust Post (well, I am testing my memory now & of course, things change too) but given the details of this thread, wouldn't the use of such stamps be relying too much on honesty ??   Oh, what a can of worms this could become now, lol

Re: now I know why a post loose money

Well, I know this is a bit off the track of re-cycling used envelopes, but.  I've had a quick look - at Item Number 331239003761  (also happens to be who I buy my padded envelopes from, so a seller I trust at least)

And in the description it says :-

A postage paid imprint can be printed directly onto the upper right hand corner of your items (where a stamp would normally be) to show that the postage has been paid. It features the words "POSTAGE PAID AUSTRALIA" and is useful if you want to pay using an Australia Post Business Credit Account, or make large volume lodgements.

Don't have an account? You can pay by cash, debit or credit card over the counter at an Australia Post retail outlet. Or find out about becoming an account customer

Please note: Articles bearing a 'Postage Paid Australia' imprint must be lodged at an Australia Post retail outlet

Out of curiosity, will have to ask at PO tomorrow  & get some clarification - this just seems to leave an obvious opening for dishonesty to me.

hi cq  those plastic bags are available at a lot of $2 shops , I used to get them in a4 size, anyway he only has a few lines, going on his feedback prob does 20 pieces a month ,most people would get maybe 5 to 10 envelopes a month ,so maybe a couple of other family members collect them for them and thats why 2 sydneywater bills ,but who knows ,

How do you figure that, Joe? I don't get any post-paid envelopes at all here, but even if my utilities bills weren't sent electronically, I'd still be lucky to get more than 1 per month. Obviously I can't reuse normal stamped & cancelled envelopes which are essentially the only ones I receive here. I think he's doing more than simply getting friends and family to keep them for him, but even if they were the majority would surely be opened along the top as most normal people do.
