Anyone else having problems with the automatic (3) free re-lists coming off the 100 free listings that started today? .
Seems to be some sort of glitch

I forgot to mentiont in my last post ... when I rang two days ago, I was told they were aware of the problem and were fixing it 🙂
I rang last night, as I had waited almost an hour TWICE during the morning, to follow up on the previous call.
I'm really sorry 'kazam' .... I would be very surprised if they have details of your call ... but please post when (and if) you get the results they promised. Oh, I wonder if promise is a word in their vocabularly?
Sincerely, I hope they follow through for you ..... but I still think ANOTHER 100 FREE LISTINGS THIS WEEK would be the best solution, yah !!

I called eBay and asked if the 3 free relistings come off the 40 listings and 100 listings and she said, "Yes, that's correct". I guess they found away to take the 3 free relistings back. This is becoming very frustrating.

Dot, eBay are obliged to keep a record of the call, and the information given and provided. I have on previous occasion needed to call more than once about an issue, and there was a note on my account of the previous call and what was discussed/agreed.
I will do a follow up after the 7 days anyway just to ensure that the agreement has been adhered to. And yes, I will post the results.
I, the same as everyone else, do not like being taken advantage of. And just because eBay have made a momumental stuff up of this lot of free listings, does not mean I have to sit back quietly and let them get away with it without a whimper.
(Thought) I think the only 'glitch' eBay hasn't had is taking its monthly fees - that ALWAYS happens without any problem!!! I wish the rest of the site ran as smoothly as that area.

You can ask for a Reference Number for the call which means it must be recorded/noted and you have proof of the discussion
These days I always ask for it . . . . . as my trust has dwindled - although as you said kazam, you can always trust them to invoice the monthly fees !!

Thanks 'kazam' .... I am aware of that .... I'm just feeling very cynical at present .... I can't believe that after promising me (and thanking me for being so understanding) my call from last night at 6 was never returned, and that i've had a different response from each Customer Service officer each time I ring.
It would be interesting to hear from everyone who's called ... so far it seems each of us are hearing different stories. Anyway, let's hope it resolves in the next week.

I've been listing (using the 100 freebies) for the last couple of days, during which time some of the *free* relists have occurred. They didn't appear to be coming of either of my 40 monthly listings, or the 100 free listings, as I still wasn't being charged any listing fees. Although I didn't check my totals as I thought I had plenty of listings still to go. That was until I checked the totals today. My totals under 'All Selling' showed I had used them all!!! And I certainly knew I hadn't listed 100 items.
So with much trepidation, I continued with my 100 free listings, and found that I still wasn't geting any listing fees, even though my totals said I had none left. Until I got to No. 65. All of a sudden I was going to be charged $1.50.
So I got onto live chat, where I was told that the relists were taken out of the 100 free listings. **bleep**??? I wanted to quote the exact words the CS rep used, but when I went to look at the transcript which they had emailed me, it's file extension was XML and my computer couldn't open it. Very sneaky way of hiding their responses. I have emailed them back asking for the transcript to be sent as a text file, but so far all I've got is a response they will reply within 24 to 36 hours. Useless.
I do recall when I poiinted out the the CS rep that the free relists had not come out of the free listings in the past, there was no response at all. I had to end the session, even though I wanted an answer.

Try opening it in your browser. It's an internet file. MS Word and probably other word processors should also be able to open it.

Thanks for the suggestion Dave. Tried opening the file with Firefox and Open Office Writer (don't have Word) and still no luck. This was the message with Firefox:
XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
Location: file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Lyn/Desktop/0000QaAKAVK02NP1.xml
Line Number 9, Column 40:
I can't see how to open a file with Chrome.
