Re: the roll out of ebay managed payments

I don't do any of the surveys ebay sends out, if I have feedback I generally contact them through live chat for them to pass on to their imaginary feedback team.

My latest email says I'm being activated on MP on this account on the 29th so I'll report back if everything doesn't implode. If I'm not back within the fortnight, consider me done for and don't send a search and rescue team it's too risky.

Re: the roll out of ebay managed payments

Well as of this morning I'm on MP, now eagerly awaiting my first sale so I can not get the money for days lol. I have a buffer amount in my account so I'm good for postage costs etc while we work out how long everything takes. Anyone wanna buy something? Smiley Very Happy

Don't have the 250k listings though but I assume that changes at the end of the month when it ticks over.

I'm supposed to be changed over tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to it, especially because the problem with incorrect addresses in the eBay emails seems to be ongoing.

Re: the roll out of ebay managed payments

A sale! Sold a book for $14.95. It appears in orders awaiting postage as per normal stating they paid today. If I go to the payment tab there is the amount minus fee of $2.09 there stating as processessing. I have mine set to payout daily so I will check bank account each day and see when it lands. If I click on Expenses in the Payment tab it breaks down the fee into $1.76 FVF and $0.33 Fixed Fee. I have read this amount is per order, not per item (like in the US) but will have to wait for a multi-item order to confirm that. It's a bit different to be posting the book before seeing the cash but I will put my faith in the system and ship the book today. Might have felt different about that had it been a more expensive order though...

I have read about that error, hopefully they fix it for you soon. Personally I don't even look at the item sold emails ebay sends me, I just get the shipping address from the orders awaiting postage page. Haven't had any problems with wrong addresses there so far (cross fingers and toes).

Re: the roll out of ebay managed payments

Also I see in the payment section that I can change my automatic payment method (for store fees) to Paypal, Direct Debit or Credit/Debit Card. If all goes well with the routine deposits I may well switch mine from Paypal to Direct Debit from the same account. Poor Paypal.

I don't know if they will have that -  but have you noticed that your listings counter has stopped?   So free listings.   Mine stopped as soon as I completed registration.
