i'm sure a lot or most of you probably received the managed payments email this morning. in case you didn't, or missed here - ebay is rolling out managed payments later in the year with pre-registration opening shortly.

I never registered by the deadline and wondered why sales have stopped after reading this post from the USA thread mentioned above:

I'm still able to list as of just now, and although it seems little quieter, I've had two sales in the past day (one this morning), and can see that my listings are still getting views.

I suspect sellers who have signed up are being preferenced higher in the 'Big Fat Algorithm'. Change of tact in the USA with rewards handed out to MP sellers. The Amercan's are going OFF over MP !

Judging by my current ebay sales volume, I don't think so  (in other words, sales are pretty low on eBay for me right now - they were going off like a frog in a sock on my other sites, though, so either eBay is down in general (I daresay that wouldn't be the case for all), or there's still payment issues and my buyers migrated to where they could actually pay for stuff, lol.

I finished signing up this morning and have found sales to be consistant and listings still showing in the same place they usually do. I have noticed some items have stopped selling over the last few months which I put down to buyers in some areas being more careful with the money they have.

Eeeek some real angry people over there with 'Mangled Payments' ! Glad I did not sign up if their experience is anything to go by. I'll sit on the fence until I get kicked along.

Yeah, I signed up on the 10th or something, and have yet to be told when I'm being changed over, but my sales are pretty normal.

Admittedly, 70% of all of my sales are from regulars, so most of my buyers know where to find me regardless of whether or not eBay plays hide and seek with my listings in search results, and most of them will also hit me up if they have any problems completing a transaction.

I think I'm going to go ahead and sign up for that other site now, too. Up until now I have refrained because they wanted my driver's licence, but seeing as I just had to give it to eBay for this, might as well go all in ... expand my horizons ... etc
