what to do when buyers refuses to leave feedback ?

Recently sold several items to two seperate buyers. Buyers were contacted to make sure they were happy. No response and no feedback has been left by them after receiving positive feedback from me for quick payment.

Both buyers have purchased again since purchasing my items.

Check of both of them reveals they aren't leaving feedback for anyone....

LOW ACT...sellers rely on feedback.  Both buyers are happily ticking up their positive feedback.

Will name and shame in future if this happens again....

What has not been mentioned is that once a buyer leaves FB...They CANNOT open a dispute !!

That's not true at all. I spoke with ebay personally only a couple of weeks ago after accidentally leaving feedback for the wrong item - one which had not yet arrived - and asked if they would remove said feedback in case I needed to open an INR dispute.

I was told in no uncertain terms that it wasn't an issue as my leaving feedback would in no way prevent me from lodging a dispute if it became necessary, particularly as in my case, it was quite obvious that there's no way I could have received an item from a Chinese seller in the 3 day period between the date of my order and the date I accidentally left feedback.

I was referring to this comment by the poster -

I am guessing that she was happy but considering the types of things she was asking me, I could be mistaken..

The poster had concerns about the "types" of things the buyer was asking. Of course asking lots of question is a good thing, but if the seller feels concerned about the questions or alarm bells start ringing. Then yes, BBL is the best thing to do. The buyer can still contact the seller if they are genuine.

As for the FB. I don't remember where I read it. But somewhere in the proccess, it states that a claim or dispute is considered closed if the buyer has left FB.

No it doesn't - not on eBay or PayPal - and many sellers have lost disputes despite FB being left by the buyer. A FB comment may have a shot of helping to defend a claim in certain circumstances (eg an SNAD claim where a comment such as "exactly as described" has been left), but in the majority of cases it's not even a consideration, let alone the deciding factor in invalidating a claim.

This is the only mention of FB I can find on PayPal:

https://www.paypal.com/au/webapps/mpp/security/sell-chargebackfaq#goto12

And here is the eBay dispute resolution process:

http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/buy/item-not-received.html

No mention of leaving FB = case closed.

Are you serious? Who CARES if you get feedback or not.... how needy can you be?? Get a LIFE is probably a more pressing matter for you right now.

After no Feedback being left for many transactions (even though Buyers have messaged and said "great service" "very happy" etc)

we started sending a fiendly message to Buyers saying "Hoping you have received your item and all is OK, should you have any queries/problems please contact so the issue can be rectified asap.  However, if the item(s) have been received we would greatly appreciate if you could let us know so we can leave Feedback for you."  ... or words to that effect.

-  The difference we saw in F/B being left was considerable, so try a friendly non-demanding message.. you may be surprised!

- On the other hand there will always be Buyers who will never leave F/B ... such is eBay!!

Happy eBaying.
