i have never been so furious at a website in my life.
the seller has bought AND payed for the item, yet i cannot access it because EBAY and PAYPAL are holding my money for no good reason! i have sold three items recently and have had to message the buyers saying that i cannot SHIP their item BECAUSE I HAVE NOT GOT THE MONEY TO DO SO.
i dont get who the hell started this STUPID policy, but i expect you to change it immediately. it has to be illegal taking people's rightful money and keepinging it for yourself.
ebay epects me to sell another 19 items before they can 'trust' me enough to give me my money. I DONT HAVE 19 THINGS TO SELL!
i expect these payments, summing up to around 130$ to be released immediatley or i will not sell on ebay every again.

I think the "blind" part is a first that I can remember.

Gee I hate old threads, i'd rather see a new one started so i don't have to scroll & scroll to find the new content.
Re being a blind pensioner.
I once had my eye sight tested and was told that it was so bad it was legally described as blind. but glasses or contacts fixed it so I worked, I drive, I've certainly not been entitled to any concessions.
it sounds as if that isn't so in your case.
How do you manage with the computer & messageboards? Just interested.

easy way around this in future is to tell the winning bidder you post for 21 days, ebay can't force you to but if he responds to a money request you send buyer and click on "split a bill" when sending request you get the money right away..

That is not good advice bloodlust, the seller is likely to get neg feedback for doing that and is also likely to have a very short selling career on eBay.
Better advice would be to upload the tracking details and contact eBay when the item is shown as delivered or buyer leaves positive feedback. eBay should then release the held funds.

if a seller sent me a money request rather than have me paying through checkout I would start to wonder if the seller was legit. Wouldn't matter if the seller explained that it was simply a way to thwart a 21 day hold on funds, I'd still be suspicious.

so your saying it's ok for a seller to have to wait 21 days for money but it is not ok for a buyer to wait the same 21 days for it to be shipped when the seller has not recievedclear funds which ebay it self s says

Cleared payment means payment into your account. It does not neccesarily mean payment that you can immediately access. How would you like it if you bought something on Ebay in good faith and then the seller decided not to post it to you for three weeks? You would rightly be angry and leave a negative. Too many negs and they would be kicked.
If you can show delivery and feedbackit will be released sooner.
