Scholastic do a sale through my children's school, I am yet to see anything for $1 that they want.
It all tends to be at the high end of town what I have seen.
I am hanging out for sunday 23rd March 9am corner of Brockway and Underwood Ave in Shenton Park.
Save the Children have run out of space and are having a sale from their depot.
Now they know how to price books!
See the usual book at it!

I'd like to go just to see what they have, but I realised it is only 2 weeks before the other one. Since Scholastic will be all kids books only I will give it a miss as I really want to check out Save the Children. It will be the first book fair I have been to, I am not sure what to expect at all but I am excited!

I don't think I can make this one as I only had plans to come to Perth for Sunday. If I did come I wouldn't be getting there until Saturday lunchtime at the earliest and I'm thinking all the best stuff will be gone, has anyone been before and can tell me if it is worthwhile?

$15 a bag would seem worthwhile. That's what I get my stock from Lifeline for.
Mostly mass market junk stuff, which I know you frown upon (even though it sells and keeps the brand ticking over), but I am continually amazed at the further upmarket stuff I also get. Especially when I don't know it's a gem, which is the best buzz.
Picked up 3 Ion Idriess last time. Which paid for almost all the 250 books I bought. Didn't need to make much on the other 247.

Timed out.
The 6 John O'Grady/Nino Culottas covered the rest. Which left me with 241 books that I effectively paid nothing for.
$15 per bag is a bargain.

You will be hard pressed to find ex-library books at save the children, majority are in good condition.
Para-quad has a deal with the state library, their books are mainly from there and in the kids section are understandably
very worn. See you and Yarmak sunday.
