The Book Cellar's inaugural book clearance last Sat was an unqualified success!
Weather fabulous for the middle of Tassie this time of year - sunny, clear, almost warm ๐ Bit damp underfoot but at least we didn't need to relocate indoors. Had over 300 people, probably closer to 400, so a steadily busy day - many only learning about the shop for the first time... it is a bit hidden. Lots of good feedback from the locals since then too, and they are hard to impress.
Plan to do it again on our next long weekend, which for north Tassie is first weekend in Nov (Recreation Day!) Will do a few things differently... e.g. take the time to re-sort books into more categories rather than just fiction, NF and kids. And ditch the majority of self-help that seems to be attached to every lot of books we acquire - they are like weeds, springing up everywhere, and nobody wants them.
