Bid retraction page times out no matter what option is selected when attempting to retract a bid.
Requirements are correct ie. More than 12h before auction + Valid Reasoning (incorrect bid amt) but the page itself won't execute the command.
Ebay live chat's told me to Win the auction, not pay, then raise a ticket to get any marks removed from your profile (no joke).
Is there a fix for this or workaround? (seller won't retract either)

Any particular reason why you think your location and a different ID are relevant?
Unless you use the alternative ID to evade blocks.

Can't believe this part.
I find that very easy to believe.
I do find it hard to believe is that anyone needs to retract a bid.
It's very simple to check that the correct amount has been entered before submitting a bid.
I find it easy to believe there would be a glitch on ebay. I don't find it hard to believe anyone might need to retract a bid either. We're none of us perfect and mistakes happen.
It isn't always about the money amount. I once retracted a bid and let the seller know why. The reason why was because it was a long carpet runner that I bid on and the postage was extremely low, as in about $12. This was about 5 years back, but still, cheap even then!
I noticed this but thought oh well, the seller must have built it in to their item price.
Then later I re read the ad and I belatedly got the distinct impression the seller was counting on pick up.
It didn't outright say pick up only but it seemed to me the seller (a casual without a big feedback score) might have meant it to be. So I cancelled and contacted them and told them to change their ad if so and you know what, they thanked me and changed their ad within hours.
I can also imagine occasionally people might bid on something and then have something happen that changes their circumstances. It's not always about the money.

Same thing happened to me on the mobile app. Bidded 20 dollars, but it was too low so i went for 30. Ended up bidding 2030 dollar. wasnt willing to pay over over 200 for that which it probably end up going for. Very poor app design, if the previous bid was too low they should auto delete what was there, whats the point of it still there for

The mobile app has always been problematic with eBay - don't use it, go to the full site on your mobile or preferably use a computer.

Ebay is not all prim and proper...they are being purposely duplicitous/
They are refusing all retractions on purpose to make money. If noone says anything and cont to buy ..then they make money.
But of course if you contact customer support they say ' oh ' our system is having problems....Yer right !!....Same goes with any free final fees ...they will charge you regardless...unless you contact them and say ... I was charged a fee but I accepted a free final fee offer...so again they say ' oh our system is having problems....yer right !
Ebay will try to take your money by hook or by crook
And they will not reimburse or correct any issue unless you call them out.
Ebay ..talk about dodgy.
Be careful..

So, I've tried Live chat with eBay today, 4th July 2022, and he was able to provide me a link that works.
Please try this.
Existing link that does not work: https://www.ebay.com.au/help/buying/bidding/retracting-bid?id=4013
This link should work to retract a bid: https://www.ebay.com/bfl/RetractBid
