Hi , I can search and find items, but every time I try and open the items page, I get "Can't reach this page"" messages . This has only occurred in the last couple of days. I can open items through my android phone but not my laptop.

Clearing cache and cookies is prudent maintenance, not a browser hack.
And why are you complaining on the Australian boards? Every site is different. Our problems may well not be your problems, even if they present similarly.

Re: several recent irritating glitches on eBay.com.au
Over the weekend, I managed a thorough diagnostic hour that (I think) 'completely' dispels all the ad-hoc myths about swapping browsers or tweaking your browser with some non-guru's latest pet suggestion on 'how to fix it'.
I have access to a wide range of equipment and during my test hour I checked ebay.com.au using Winodws 10, Windows 7 and even Windows XP, and I checked using browsers Edge, Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox, with and without AdBlockers, with and without script blockers, and prior to and after clearing caches, etc, etc.
I ran all the same tests on both eBay.com.au and eBay.com
I was exploring several glitches, including the horrible script delays on watch lists and purchase lists, but especially the more recent 'listings refusing to display at all' glitch (which must be really irritating sellers beyond belief).
Quick summary...
- on eBay.com.au - the glitch of 'listing failed to display at all' appeared using ALL platforms, and ALL browsers.
- on eBay.com - the listing displayed perfectly on All platforms ALL browsers.
The verdict is trivially simple and 'definitive'. It doesn't need Sherlock Holmes to support and paraphrase what a previous poster 'cardsparadise' has already stated. i.e., eBay.com is OK but eBay.com.au is broken.
I politely suggest that...
- anyone who thinks their latest browser manipulation trick solved the problem should just recognise that actually they just got lucky (and probably only briefly)
- eBay.com.au really should get their act together and be honest enough to just admit that their recent meddling with so-called improvements has gotten them into deeper water than they're qualified to swim in. That honesty, if it ever manifested, would save lots of people from wasting their time fretting over their own systems (which of course work just fine on other web sites).
eBay techies please stop hiding, and eBay Quality Assurance (if such a beast exists) please recognise how much lost business is resulting from your techies playing with toys that they only pretend to understand.

So why isn't it happening to everybody?
I certainly don't have a problem on any browser. I can buy, sell, leave feedback, so for me it is not an issue.
If you consider the proposed fixes, some of which appear to work for some people, useless, then maybe YOU could propose a solution.

No problems here either. I don't know why those having issues leaving feedback don't just do it via the US site?
I see Michelle has gone quiet while all these issues are occurring. Maybe if she made an appearance it might reassure those affected that it's being looked into.

Also unable to open individual pages for two weeks now. Both on home desktop and laptop, windows 10 and windows 7.
Same thing at work, windows 8 upgraded, Used browsers firefox and Chrome same difference.
And yes have given the cookies to the chooks and burnt the history books.
Have to log it to Ebay UK and search from there using "nearest to me" so I can see Aussy stuff!
Has this anything to do with being located in WA?
Also why isn't there something on the official Ebay pages about this.
Have read all the threads and all the regulars just say read the threads about this??
Been looking but no solutions, just the clear cookies, turn off firewall??
Has anyone been in touch with ebay and recieved a solution? if so I may invest a day of my life with the phone glued to my ear... again.
Help please
And thanks

Don't waste your time ringing ebay....you will either be told there is no problem or that it is being looked into. Either answer is a load of carp.
Yes, you will find the regular responders telling members to read the other threads for an answer. The truth is, the same answers have been given time and time again and we are getting a little tired of parrotting the same thing which may or may not work for individuals.
If ebay doesn't have the answers you can hardly expect members of a public forum to give you a surefire fix for a problem that they deny even exists.

Same . Worked fine one day next broken. Tried using ebay USA and works fine till i go to pay then sends me back to Aussie site (broken for at least 8 months now going by threads) , once back on aussie site can't pay or do anything. So how do we set up ebay to bypass aussie site completly???

cant leave messages on USA sites as we are members of ebay Australia and cant access USA site accounts to report. Not going to make NEW account in USA just for this.
