Return hassle, what do I do now?

So I bought a pair of boots. Unfortunately they are half a size too small. I requested a return and eBay tells me I need to buy a label, that was going to cost $43, which would be deducted from my return price. I immediately press cancel return as that is an absurd price. It should’ve cost me around $20 as I know how much it costs to post things within Australia.

So now the return is closed and I can’t open it again. Am I stuck with an item that doesn’t fit now? And who was going to pocket the ridiculous overcharged postage fee, eBay, or the buyer?

This is a very bad experience for me and I may never use eBay again. Sorry to be so negative but I am a bit stunned at what has happened here.

Please show where you have been given the finger, so to speak.  Somehow I now just find you rude, which is very unusual for me, and I don't lick anyones boots, including yours.   I wonder why CS hung up!

The chat was accidentally discontinued I was informed by an email. I wasn’t being rude. Issue still unresolved though.

Members who chose to ignore the fact that eBay tried to way overcharge me for return shipping, forcing me to cancel the return, and then essentially giving me the middle finger after trying to plead my case, in my eyes are bootlickers, yes. What was I supposed to do differently in this situation?

dont cancel the return! Just arrange your own postage back and upload the tracking to the return case.

You don't need to use to shipping label provided by ebay if you think you can get a better deal on shipping.

Maybe you could read up on the return process in Ebay help pages so you don't make a mistake next time. Once you close the case it cannot be reopened under any circumstances. So next time don't close the case until you get your refund .

Oh - come on - read back - obviously not aimed at you.

A ' mistake '.

Oh come on - Read back, it was clearly in response,  it says it was in response to me.

Which -  if you actually understood - it was not in response to you - but seemed to be - your ego would let - GO.

FINAL RESOLUTION - ended up selling them via a different platform. Shipping was $18.95 - to a farther away location than where I originally received them from and was quoted for by eBay!

So eBay would’ve managed to pocket $24 had I gone with them! Beware everyone. Cheers.
