enlarging a photo of items for sale hover to zoom isn't working

In recent times, the function " hover to zoom " for pictures of items for sale, is not working.

Hi there, just went to several random listings (not mine)  and hover to zoom worked correctly on all of them.

Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. I don't really know why. Last week I was looking at a listing and it didn't work. So I saved the image and tried to enlarge it myself. It was low-resolution, so enlarging it didn't help much. I wonder if this is why sometimes it doesn't work? Maybe it doesn't work when the resolution is too low for zooming?

The next time I notice that zooming doesn't work, I will save the image again just to see if the resolution might be too low.

I remember someone else complained about this - can't find it now,  but I believe it has something to do with the size of the photo pixels uploaded.

• Photos need to be at least 500 pixels on the longest side but we recommend you aim for 800-1600 pixels on the longest side. Our photo uploader can take images up to 7MB in size

Otherwise, I've not had the problem with anything I've looked at.

As mentioned, it more than likely to do with the seller uploading low res pics. The zoom function doesn't work with them unfortunately.
