Yes, two sets of rules. And I hope they keep it that way. US sellers pay higher FVFs than Australian sellers in most categories so even if they get the 20% discount they are still paying more than we are.

Swings and roundabouts.

Some fees are much less than here (such as anchored store at US$299.95 and insertion fees), compared to here but then FVF varies depending on item.

I am all for the new Top Rated Seller program as it should benefit good sellers like myself and improve my search rankings. And I have maintained far above average DSR's to achieve Top Seller status for years and maintained 100% Feedback since 2002 which I am extremely proud of.

You can now imagine my horror to discover that I have just lost Top Rated Seller Status due to receiving 10 low DSR scores for shipping time due to Australia Post misplacing at least 20 of my orders that did not turn up for 2 weeks.

My Seller Dashboard shows 0 Negative Feedbacks in 3300 feedbacks over the last 12 months. My DSR's for all other categories are at 4.9 with only one other low rating for an items not as described.

I pride myself on providing the best service on eBay and welcome these changes but how fair can it be that I get penalised for something that was out of my control thanks to Australia Post.

What bugs me also if a customer does leave a low DSR I have no idea who it is from so if they are unhappy how can try and sort it out? At least under the old system if a customer left a negative feedback I knew who it was from and I could contact them find out what there problem is and fix it.

Now I am just left with an unhappy customer and have no idea who or how to fix the problem.

:O
So unfair.

I am a powerseller - cant see any benefit in it all with the new fee structure - I dont get 30 x free .99 cent listings and no cap on my final value fees. All I get is an increase in my final value fees!!! Am I reading this right - or did I miss something? Yes 30 x free 99 cent listings might encourage 'casual' sellers - but I find most of them dont know what they are doing and as a buyer I am usually dissapointed with my purchases from them. NOT HAPPY JAN!

Am I correct ? Reading the new changes I would be better off closing my basic store (saving me $20 a month) and listing 30 separate items a month for nothing, and copping it sweet for the extra percentage on final value sales?

So long as you're not a powerseller either - because we dont qualify for the free listing - or the capped FVF!

This really has to be some sort of a joke.
A 50% increase in Fee's.
Let's break this down shall we.

I sell something for $100.
Before FVF = $5.25 NOW $7.9

I sell something for $500.
Before FVF = $26.25 NOW $39.5

This has got to be some sort of joke, how the hell are any of us better off? really.
Fine if your selling crap under $50 or so you are better off. But how are we better off if we are selling things over $100. We are not.

This just seems like a big old push to get BOGANS on here so they dont have to pay for there stuff to list it.
MORE BOGANS = MORE JUNK = MORE PROBLEMS.

Thanks Ebay Management.
Nice work on the bottom line there....

Hi,

Previously, the Fee Illustrator had shown the Subscription fee for Featured stores as $49.95, which was also used in calculating the Total estimated fees. This amount was incorrect. The current subscription fee for Featured stores is $99.95 and will not be changing as part of the September 2011 fee changes, and the Fee Illustrator has now been updated to reflect this.

Regards,
The eBay Team

Amazing! I thought when they surveyed sellers they would realise that we are sick of paying ridiculous fees. Now they are demanding a greater percentage of our sales for all formats. 7.9% is the margin on most products. Apply a higher percentages to non-business customers. Not to businesses. Even better....if you really want to meet buyer demand and get more listings up, ablolish listing fees! Oh no, you can't do that because that doesn't give you instant cash in your bank. It's time to concentrate on my website! By by ebay!! You make enough without me anyway. You have finally managed to get rid of me.
