Changes to meet buyer demand on eBay.com.au (26/07/2011)

SOOO TRUE !!! FRANKLY, MY DEAR, THOSE YANKS DO NOT GIVE A DAMN !!!

CORRECTION, NO, SORRY, THEY DO GIVE A DAMN, THE BEAST (FROM OHIO?) DOES, IT IS ALIVE & WELL, TWO OF MY POSTINGS WERE REMOVED THIS EVENING 'CAUSE (& I quote) "Using, or posting material to, eBay’s discussion boards for petitions or
campaigns against eBay or its related services (including PayPal)

which is not permitted at eBay." (end of quote)

ALSO REMOVED (for another reason) WAS MY 'POWER SELLER' STATUS 'CAUSE I DID NOT CLOCK 100 ITEMS/YEAR, DESPITE FULFILLING EVERY OTHER CRITERIA, THIS GIVES YOU AN IDEA OF HOW CLEVER THE DECISON MAKERS AT eBay ARE, e.g.: YOU SELL 100 STAMPS/year at, lets say, $50 the 100, you remain a power seller (assuming you fulfill the other criterias, 98+% feedback, etc...), NOW, YOU SELL, LIKE I DID, 90 or 91 ITEMS/YEAR, AT ROUGHLY $30000 the 96, YOU LOSE YOUR POWER SELLER STATUS (we never received a negative, nor neutral feedback), HOW SMART IS THAT ?

MY TOPICS KEEP BEING REMOVED BUT ANYWAY I AM GOING TO TELL THIS STORY BECAUSE I FEEL SICK!!

What a kick in the guts i got today! so much for the new estimated shipping policy! I got 4 Negative feed backs because i would not refund a buyer. What a joke! Products were shipped within 2 days as listed in my estimated shipping. She contacted me Saturday the day of her event! WHERES MY PARTY SUPPLIES? What where ha! They are probably at the post office waiting for your collection! Oh bad luck now its Saturday! Der! Perhaps you should have checked there during the week or maybe emailed us and we could have advised you of that! But no SATURDAY! Day of the Party! So smart! and GUESS WHAT THEY WERE AT THE POST OFFICE! Then i get bad feedback!! Come on its all a joke.

I feel for you with this, there is most likely nothing you can do, except ask for it to be revised, there is a way to do this through eBay (don't think that will happen, but you can always try), you could send a reply to the feedback you have received and a reply to the feedback you send them (as I have done - see my feedback), I have (on my listings) 10days for turn around (or whatever it is called), that at least allows more time for delivery (Aust Post or ?) I did read somewhere (on ebay terms) that eBay can punish sellers if they don't send things to buyer within the specified time, ie 10day. As I don't want this punishment I list as 10days (you can choose), I always post asap, never 10days, that is just to avoid this punishment clause. I have never had a potential buyer question this, only some members on a thread have ever mentioned it, but they are not looking at buying anyway.

You can always block the buyer, maybe let them know this before you ask for revision of feedback. That could mean they have less choice next time the have a function.

I would like to see implementation of immediate positive feedback for buyers that make an IMMEDIATE payment on items!
Too many times have I missed out on feedback because the seller doesn't feel like leaving it for their customers, I see that as unfair since I've just spent my hard earned dollars on a seller's item(s).
I feel that feedback is part of the transaction and I now wait for the seller to leave feedback for me, if the seller fails to do so then I will simply leave negative feedback for not being satisfied with an incomplete transaction.

To 1811barryj I am a seller, I tell my buyers that I will leave feed back after I receive their fb and I do just that, regarless of the time they take to pay.

My reason is, the transaction is not fully over and complete untill I receive their fb which tells me they have received the item/goods.

Sellers have no other way of knowing a buyer has got the item, even with Registered Post (which many buyers don't want to pay) it is not proof that your buyer got the item, maybe someone else in the household collected the item.

It is possible to check on the tracking with Aust Post as to if the item has been collected/signed for, but that does not tell a seller that the item was as described etc (in which case I and many offer a refund) so its not over, till its over.

Also I have had immediate payment, BUT IT WAS THE WRONG AMOUNT, I refunded fully via PP, I did not give feedback after payment, as it was underpaid.

Look at it this way, maybe, if you have paid immediately and you received your item quick, plus all in good condition, you have received what you paid for.

.

I opted out of the powerseller program in August & stopped selling for 6 weeks & now I have started selling again ebay has reinstated the powerseller status on me, I complained to be told that I did not have an option unless I open a new account, what is going on with EBAY?? surely ebay customers have a say OR NOT? EBAY offer free??? listings by putting up FV fees but make it impossible for people to take advantage of them by making the powerseller program compulsary once you qualify?? to their standards which is not hard to do, as the powerseller program really is a joke with NO rewards & NO opting out & NO free listings

with the free listing and don't pay until you sell! i think this is bad for eBay buyers as people list there things at a much higher price with the hope it sells and if it don't that's OK with them as they are just clogging up eBay with the same over priced crap, i am getting sick of seeing the same stuff just getting resisted time and time again. and as for the sale fee i think it is over the top hot to mention Paypal fees and don't think i will be selling on eBay any more.

Wow! Should be the begining of the end if sellers such as badbundybear wake up to the 'treatment' they are now receiving from eBay...
