Top-Rated Sellers....

Hello, is it just me or has anyone elses sales dropped since ebay has introduced Top-rated sellers? I understand that they have gained this status, but I'm still aiming to get there. I was just a normal household seller that has started selling kiddies clothing in the last couple of months, but found that since this has changed from Powerseller, my little old sales has dropped. Any comments appreciated.

I just got fired from my top seller status, they even emailed me. What a pathetic bunch of idiots these people are who run this show. pathetic, high school students would do a better job. All there changes they implement make the site worse and worse.
DEFINATLY the worst thing they achieved was when you could not BULK EMAIL all your customers. Hahahahha. That was so funny because they keep saying how important communication is.  Oh well life goes on. PLEASE any smaller sellers out there DO NOT aspire to achieve anything ebay has invented. JUST aspire to make a $$ for yourself. Everything else is secondary.

Letting world wide listings into ebay oz has wrecked alot of peoples businesses. I feel very sad for any of those people whom had invested alot of money into stock. Ebay I rate you 2 out of 10.

my sales dropped since introducing top-rated seller programme and also notice buyers are likely to leave bad rating and neg. feedback without even contacting me for problem.  I have been selling on ebay for years and experiencing the worst sales rate ever.  I really don't know what to do and have done my best.  It feels like Ebay is forcing sellers to leave the site...mmm disappointing

I had better dsr's than many other sellers but still didn't achieve TRS status.

I hounded ebay for days with emails asking why I had not achieved TRS status & all I got was I hadn't reached their level of excellence.

All this is way out of our control, we are not liable for what buyers do, they could give pos f/b but low ratings.

This has been a disaster for my sales, the lowest in 10 years, hardly worth listing.

I have 100% pos f/b for  years & a neg f/back of only 4 in 10 years.

I finally got TRS status & my sales have marginally increased, let's face it, they couldn't have got any worse.

a lot has changed on ebay in that year.

to see how/ when you qualify for TRS or to see if you are keeping up with your standing, just check your SELLER DASHBOARD each month after evaluation date.

Mystore was a top seller for a few months, than lost it about 8 weeks ago due to some buyers leaving ratings of 1's and 2's on some of my items. I am working my way up again. It's tough though!

eBay just keep chaning their systems and we as small businesses or indivdual sellers need to keep bending over backwards in order to keep up.

My opinion is to get rid of top rated seller, give sellers feedback rights, scrap the best match and have it like it was 3 years ago, when we where all equal.

As a casual seller, I don't think it makes any difference.  I have been selling on another id to get the free listings and have just lost my TSR on my main selling id because of lack of use.  I find I do just as well without the TSR logo.  I don't know if a lot of buyers actually take any notice - as long as your feedback is OK.

to qualify for TRS your past 12 months only is taken into account. i.e. you need $3,000 sales and 100 items in past 12 months, along with good feedback AND impecable Detail Seller Ratings, as well as only 1 or 2 eBay Policy Violations..

As hard as I find it to compete with top rated sellers,  looks like they are there for a good reason and deserve the perks.  If you want to sell alot then perfect customer service should be what you are trying to achieve anyway.   If you only want to sell a few things then isnt it like stepping into any market and trying to sell just a few things...  hard.

As far is international sellers go,    again as a buyer I feel i have the right to get things internationally since yea they usually are cheaper,  its just something any Australian seller   online or offline has to deal with,  because our prices/postage are so inflated but its not the buyers fault.   Yes it is a hard world for a seller out there but I guess you just have to roll with it.
