How can buyers buy an item at a cheaper price than what it is listed for?

I have an item priced at $39.95 free postage.

A buyer purchased this item and was only charged $37.95.

I did not send a code for any discount and they only made a single purchase

The original post also claimed  free postage,  nothing adds up.

And they only mention the buyer buying an item/this item rather than two of them

So I've no idea

I think I found the answer - just because I clicked on the item, I got an offer.
