A return item was sent by registered post under another tracking number, not the one supplied by eBay. The seller denies they received it, although Australia Post confirms it was indeed signed for by the seller. How does eBay help in this circumstance when all efforts to find assistance through the eBay platform are met with the same case closed summary?
I do not have a printer to run off the return label. Within the hour of receiving the item, it was returned by registered mail to the parcel return addressee. Australia Post customer services have confirmed in writing that the item was indeed signed for by the seller. They have insisted they don't have it, based on the eBay return tracking number, but the registered tracking number mentioned has been received.
Contacting the department of Fair Trading is looking likely at this stage. The seller is in Australia.
The seller paid for return post and provided a label with tracking cross referenced with ebay, that is what was needed to be returned. As countess said you could have printed at office works etc. You can even have it printed at the PO. You can try contacting ebay CS, but given the case has been closed as item not returned, you will be pushing it up hill.
Just to add I have had items returned, with absolutely no idea who or what sale they relate to, some dont even bother to communicate that they are returning an item against a no return policy. Ebay has processes in place for a reason.
I live quite close to OfficeWorks, so If my printer has a problem I go there. A few months ago my printer refused to work saying there was a paper jam, even there was no paper jam, so I had to go to OfficeWorks a couple of times. Then it started working again after shaking it, and it is still working. You can buy a card at OfficeWorks and use it to print yourself (without assistance).
You should be able to save a label (to the flash drive, either as an image or a pdf file, or whatever format it has). Just when my printer was on strike, a seller who had sent the wrong size of UGG boots sent me a return label and I still remember it was in pdf format.
You can save it to the flash drive at home, then go to OW with the flash drive and it is easily done.
