Worst nightmare , seller advertized and sold small tube like green glass perfume bottle as uranium glass and stated on her site that it glows ...but it does not react to ultra violet light and accordingly was returned to seller and a full refund obtained after raising issue with Ebay, I have transcripts of Ebay's chats stating that abuse from seller was not tolerated etc. ...........Firstly I offered to buy the non uranium item for a lesser cost to avoid extra postage costs leaving final decision to seller who replied " I hate selling to cheapskates like you, and your threatening negative FB means nothing to me, your a disgusting human being ..."......I posted a negative feedback regarding false advertizing and the abuse and slander and that seller still claimed that item was uranium glass...and have asked her to send or post a photo of item being lit up by ultra violet light...
her response was " You have been reported to Ebay for your blackmail threats, they have also removed the fraudulent negative feedback you left me, you are a disgusting dog ".....Ebay has now accused me of extortion... no evidence...seller never had to provide proof of item being Uranium glass but keeps sending emails...latest being " I will be relisting that uranium glass today and naming you as the fraud who returned it after trying to extort/blackmail me , I hope you rot in hell you disgusting excuse of a human being .."
The worst thing is that the item has been listed again eBay item number with no proof photo of it being uranium glass with my name and stating that I am a fraud etc.... !!!!

I n hindsight I should have taken a pic of perfume bottle as proof but never imagined the seller to keep saying it was uranium glass... I have some 70 pieces of uranium glass and would have dearly liked it to be such...the reason I bought it was seller stated on original listing that it glowed ??? and by email confirming it was uranium glass !!! This is how it started after I told her it was not uranium glass...." Hi Gus
I bought that from abcr auctions in Victoria, they are probably the most reputable bottle sellers in the country so I don t understand why they would state uranium when it s not, my alarm bells went off when you questioned the postage charge, I hate selling to cheapskates like you, and your threatening negative FB means nothing to me, your a disgusting human being, send me the bottle back and I refund you your money. "
She wanted me to send it back at my cost but Ebay organized return post...seller should have ...

This issue about defamatory remarks and listing my name and location was raised as a separate issue with Ebay on Sunday when first seen by a friend.... I never thought that she would be silly enough to relist as uranium glass !!!!

I did email her a request to post a pic of item under UV light ...her reply was she did not have one but it was uranium glass... I had bought several items in such circumstances before without problems ...NEVER AGAIN !!!

Yes, any award is considered a win, and is not guaranteed to cover fees, which would then apply, Also if an award is then lost on appeal, meaning you get nothing, it is still considered a win and fees apply.
Frankly for the amount of damage suffered. I would consider it a waste of time and money, and before you can commence any defamation proceedings, you must serve a legal notice of concerns or a cease and desist notice on the party you intend to pursue

How did you return it if you didn't have a return address?
